That's the greatest idea I've ever heard of. Those ignorant ricers will be scared sh*tless. I think a better idea will be to record the takeoff of an airplane and blast that through your system...it would sound like a massive turbo.

On stock tires, perfect launch with no spin and all pull it 2000-2200 rpm. Anything above 2500 and you're just gonna spin the rubber.

Main shift point for me when racing is as the needle covers the 6000 rpm mark so that as i shift, there's a slight drag on the gas and when I re-engage the clutch, it doesn't drop below 5000........keeps you up in hp peak ranges and well into the tq peak.

Complaining is futile when you supported the victory.

sounds just like the M6
rev to 2-2.5 and shift at 6 for most power
i want to see my 6 against a TC i think it be a good race

Has anyone raced a Pontiac G5 2.4? It seems like a good matchup.

The truth might be that A LOT of people don't know about engines & gearing, they just look at a car and think it looks fast.

For example the guy in a Kia Spectra that looks at my tC and says, "Yeah, I could walk him."

a lot of it depends on driver too. With the right driver you can take an out-matched car and turn it into a close race and possibly a win

aight will all the talk about top 10 cars under 20,000...i ran wit a mustang today on the highway...he had nothing...dont kno wat was wrong wit him...he came flying up and so i joined him....but he had nothing i gotta admit i was disappointed...i wanted a better run from him..........

at the same time a riced our accord was tryin to get in the mix....it was wonderful....i could hear his automatic transmissiong tryin to drop a gear to pick up but then his car when no where....all u heard was his cheap asss exhuast....needless to say i could have stopped and paced with him to take a picture of his rice mobile and then kept going, thats how bad his car was........

Ricy cars are pretty entertaining. This isn't a race story, but I was cmoing home from DC with a few frieds, and there was this Accord next to us that sounded just like a weed whacker.

It's always a race of drivers.

I could race a stupid retard in a 2003 Camaro SS and maybe he won't he the gas very much at all or maybe he'll miss a shift.

I still wouldn't race one on the track.

If your car is way out-matched, you shouldn't race to start. Pick your matches with cars that are even.

well the conditions were just right, i bought my radar detector and was on the way back from circuit city (memorial day sale!!!) and my car read exactly 1000 miles. A mini pooper pulled up next to me and this guy with a lime green collared shirt with a popped collar revs at me... im like ok, time to test this baby out =)

very minimal wheel hop in 1st, chirp second and chirp third and hes already a car and a half back... never caught up lol... radar detectors seem to be race magnets i guess

Careful with the Mini Cooper S though. There's 2 models of it.....one has 190ish hp and another has 215 hp. The JT Works edition is the quicker one and is actually pretty damn fast. The regular S model will give me a good run with my setup.

Nice win Paulz0r.

gotta love the stuff like that man, its always funny when your sitting at a light and this guy pulls up and starts reving and when u look over its all u can do not to laugh cause he looks so funny. I had an incident like that. I as sitting at a light and this guy in this riced out ford probe pulled up next to me, he had the seat layed way back so that he could barely reach the steering wheel and his gf was in the passenger seat. He reved and looked at me and smiled, and I was in the turn lane so i couldnt run with him but when the light turned green he stalled out and I looked over at him, smiled and gave him a thumbs up and went around the corner, as I started movin I saw him shrink down in his seat and his gf gave him that "I'm gonna kill you look" lol
