Since first gear is the shortest ratio shouldnt it have the greatest rate of acceleration? Oh and by the way his corolla was an auto. The way auto tranny torque converter works, their 1 st gear pulls a lot harder. After 1st, they no longer have an advantage. That's why you pulled ahead. I had someone try and show off for his gf in a corolla S. He must have thought the s gives him extra hp.. I waved bye before I sped off while he was flooring it in his auto. WTF was he thinking?!

ThetCPope Vehicle Designer	My first drag was yesturday. It was my completly stock tC with an auto, vs my friends 5.0. He has some intake and exhaust parts, and I think a short shifter. So its a bout a 1/4 mile strip. He does the 3 honks and we both gun it. He starts to pull away a little then he fucks up in 2nd and 3rd gear, at the end he won by about a half a car length. The second time was better for him, he got his gears down and won by 2 car lengths. I'd say that pretty good for a stock auto tC.

ThetCPope Vehicle Designer	Yeah mustang, he is supposedly a good driver, but still even a bad driver should be able to beat a stock tC.

Orin Auburn Alabama, US	Sometimes it's just a matter of drivers. A really good driver can get the most out of a car. It's not fair to say that even a bad driver can beat a stock tc. A bad driver is exactly that, a bad driver.

Vicious Orlando Florida, US El Chupacabra	A few days ago I was cruising and I noticed this early 90's Corolla speeding behind me and he slowed down next to me and just hung there while I was driving. So I decided to speed up and pass him just cuz his car was an eyesore in my line of vision and all of a sudden he starts gunning it and does a ricer blow-by past me, revving in neutral trying to intimidate me with his intake. Then I was like "...Oh you mothafuzzah.." So I dropped it in third and pulled past him, leaving him looking at my shiny exhaust tip But a redlight stopped me long enough for him to catch up. So I glance over to him and he's just looking straight ahead and when the light turned green I just resumed cruising and with him tailing behind me. Looked like I crushed his ricer spirit before it got any worse The Thread Killah

Orin Auburn Alabama, US	I was on my way home and I noticed this old Mustang. (yeah, it's always the mustang) purposely slowing down to piss me off, so when it comes time for me to get in the passing lane, he starts flooring it. What really gets me is that it wasn't the 5.0 litre. It was a crappy 1988 LX something... he thought he was fast. So I gun it in 2nd and look right at him as I'm blowing past him. He's looking at me like, "WTF, you shouldn't be passing ME" I get up to 80mph in a 50mph rd so I shut it down and get this... he still just had to pass me even though I clearly hit my brakes and shifted to slow down. Here is another, "WTF was HE thinking?!"
