Aux jack

 I have a 2005 TC and i noticed that the new models have the aux jack to plug in audio components through the headset jack of an MP3 player or any other device that plays sounds. Is it possible to add that same type of connection to a 2005 HU or is the aux connection on the 07 model hardwired into the radio wire harness? Please advice. Thanks

 It might depend on the radio. I'm not too sure about wich one you have. What your talking about is basically getting the ipod option for your radio, except that your not getting the upgraded head unit, you just getting the input connector.

On the ipod head unit, there is a seperate harness for the input. As far as I know. I still think it's possible though. It's only a matter of how much work you want to do to get there. All you would really have to do is to take your connector and soloder it dirrectly to the leads for the harness. That's it.
