www.eopinions.com has alot of opinions on not only the g-tech, but anything else you can ever imagine, from DRUGS(rX, not u kn0w...hahha...) to cars, to Animals. And they are all first hand reviewers, etc. etc. great place to go.In my own opinion, the g-tech is very inaccurate, especially when it comes to HP and 1/4 mile times, but if u just uneed a GUESTIMATE, then its a wonder machine.

Maybe I-m dumb but ahhhh.....I can-t find any reviews or anything at all for that matter about the gtech on eopinions.com Yeah i figured it wouldn-t be as accurate as the site claims it is, but it would still show improvement in my driving as well as any hp gains from mods down the line. That-d primarily be what I-d buy it for

Those things aren-t any more accurate than writing HP and 1/4 mile times on slips of paper and pulling them out of a hat.UNLESS you use it on a perfectly flat road (good luck) and absolutely zero wind from any direction, in perfect weather conditions. Inside those units is a small device that measures G Forces to establish the numbers that it displays ... any variation, even mild ones, drastically destroys those numbers

However inaccurate they may be, are they AT LEAST consistant? Even if it claims my stock tC runs a 14s 1/4 mile and then later a 13.7s (which is bogus..but yea lol) would that show improvement in my driving at least? Or are they both just huge inaccuracies?

You could measure -a change- with it. So long as you do your runs on the same road with the same wind conditions, it will measure a fairly accurate difference between two runs. If you see what I-m saying ... not sure how else to say it

I have one in my tC and it works great. Its very consistant, you just gotta make sure that the road is flat (just like a drag strip) if not it will make the g-sensors go wierd and you will get a not so accurate reading. Also gotta make sure you put the right weight of the car in (adding you, gas and if there is anything else in your car like subs..).. theres lots of stuff you gotta program in and compare it to the track. You get a NET horsepower and torque reading, that means its gonna be lower than on a dyno. It subtracts wind resistance at higher speeds when your recording a 1/4 run... there are ways to get a more accurate reading by doing a short record like doing a 0-60mph run and getting off the line quick in 1st but when it hits second make sure it goes down to like 1500rpms and let it go all the way to your redline, then shift into 3rd and slow down after you hit 60, when you review your run and look at the hp curve its alot more accurate since it got from 1500-all the way up to whatever, and you where in 2nd gear so not much wind resistance, but if you can-t to a good pull in second, then do the same thing in 3rd. Once you use it a few times its super easy!
