Tonight (in about 3 hours) I'm going to paint my brake calipers. I chose Yellow, and the type is Dupli*Color High Performance Caliper Paint with Ceramic. Now, what are some tips to application? Should I sand, or just use the cleaner with a toothbrush to clean the calipers? I bought Sandable Primer, should I apply one good coat, or two? Two quick coats? Skip the primer? Would primer be okay since it's on bottom? |

seems u git the brush packafe. just spray on the crap remover and do about four light coats, which come out to be a very nice color. |

yeah thats what I used, just spray the calipers real good with the remover and brush them off with the provided brush. Then just make sure you use very light coats until you get them evenly painted. There is more than enough to do four calipers so dont worry about running out of paint. |

I grinded mine down with a dremel, takes alot more time but the end result will be better and will last longer. I used the duplicolor brush on with ceramic as well I have pics on my cardomain page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/678488 here is one pic ![]() Check Engine Light Eliminators |

If you get a second brush a little bigger then the one that was in the kit, it will help spead up the paint process, the one with the kit, is kinda crappy... |

Yeah, invest a couple of bucks in some better brushes, the brush that came with it started loosing bristles before I finished the first caliper. ![]() Check Engine Light Eliminators |

agree, nothing worse then picking bristles off your freshly painted calipers.... |
