I come from a family of corolla owners..and have obviously driven them a good deal. I WISH my tc handled like their corollas!!! They're handling is so much stiffer tighter (though shock absorbtion is better) and steering response much more crisp. Those things ride like they're on rails! I have my tc dropped on Eibach pro kit springs, and i must say, its not much different from stock.. bumps hurt a bit more, but all in all, the tc's handling is much sloppier than i had anticipated. WIll upgrading shocks and struts to match my ride height and spring rate really help me out that much? I sure hope so. |

I'd say that that's probably the best thing you can do for handling.........on a budget anyway. I'd go with the tein coilovers. I've been told they're great. |

Don't for get new tires!! the original tires are crap. lowering, shocks , TIRES, tie bar, sway bars. In that order. |

Do what ^^those guys just said, then get rid of about 300+ lbs of weight change out all of your glass to lexan or something and get a roll cage...and oh yeah do a rwd conversion |

The two modifications that will have the most affect on the handling of your tC are as follows: 1. Tires. No other part of your car touches the road. Get some good rubber, the stock tires are crap. 2. Sway Bars. I like hotchkis bars. Springs, struts, coilovers, all help, but do not offer as much bang for buck. I know, I have been running Tein SS-Ps for the past 3 months, so I am not just blowing smoke. A front strut tie bar that does not mount to the firewall is almost completely useless. Again I have a Hotchkis front strut tie bar (Came with the RS1.0). And the MonsterMotorWorks rear strut bar IS USELESS. It only adds wieght. That area of the car has enough triangulation already. What year and type (GT-S, FX-16, etc.) are the 'rollas that you are used to driving? |

Have you added any anti-sway bars yet? |

Ee yeah.. Roll cage and RWD conversion... thats pretty funny. and besides, u don't need RWD for optimum handling. the tc is a FWD platform. RWD conversion is just dumb talk. the DC2 integra is one of the best handling cars ever, and its FWD. If you actually read my post i'm lowered on eibach springs and have a dc front strut bar. I will eventually upgrade rubber, but honestly, my traction and grip isn't the aspect i'm concerned with. Its body roll, steering response, handling that i feel is lacking. I mean, we all know the tc is closer to a luxury ride than a sporty ride...i don't know how these guys are competing auto x. Late model corollas. base models. and automatics. |

Yeah I know I was kidding about the conversion. But You DO need RWD for optimum handling. Thats just a no brainer |

Get your suspsension done. My tC corners like its on rails. I have TRD shocks/struts, TRD springs, Hotchkis sways. Quaife LSD, and Falken 451 tires. |

ahh..i think i'd rather have AWD for optimum handling. In fact, i think the tc would make a much better awd than rwd ex-tc.. how much did the trd shocks/struts package run you? Are u boosted? i would hope so since u dropped $1000 plus on LSD... |

well, imho of all the cars i've drove/ridden in, my friend's Evo VIII Rs handles the best (in all conditions, including dry) by far. Much better than his supra or porsche... That thing has 3 Lsd's! God, for all the people who talk about lsd like its the ultimate mod, they must love that car. |

glad to hear it. cuz honestly, the tc in stock form doesn't really need LSD. 1st gear is the only gear where it would actually help..and i can't justify spend $1000+ just to get better launches in first. I'll do the shocks, struts, and probably sways, but i don't anticipate EVER needed LSD.. Unless i'm trying to win an scca or nasa event...IN A TC!! |

LSD helps a stock tC a lot if you auto X like I do. |

How do you figure it would only help in 1st gear? I am assuming you are talking about it spining on the launch. LSD's help more than just that, they are very helpful in cornering too. An LSD would be a great mod for a NA tc too if you like to turn. |

my stock tc turns Just Fine. i know EXACTLY what a LSD does. I have not come across an instance in my tc where i thought to myself, "MAn, this car could really use a LSD." I have driven my car 30,000 miles with much spirited driving. Never lost control (save for the one time in the rain) and never met a slide i couldn't correct with the stock diff. I'd revamp the whole suspension before i worried about a LSD..and i wouldn't even go LSD unless i were making a lot more power. |

Only things i can say about that is. 1. Get the LSD and see for yourself. 2. Drive one with the quaife LSD and see for yourself. The car doesn't handle like a FF car anymore. Its more neutral in the corners. I am sure you can drive your car fine w/o a LSD, but think about how much better you'll be able to take the corners with it. |

haha..thats funny. a LSD makes the tc not handle like a front engine front wheel drive car. So what DOES it handle like? FR, MR, RR??!!!! How about YOU spend YOUR $$$ on a quaife piece to prove to me how great it is. What is that $1200 + install (500?) Yeah, thats worth being able to take corners better. |

i hate ignorant people like you....
he's not getting the lsd to prove you anything. if you don't see how eliminating torquesteer and understeer help the cars handly then don't complain how the car is not handling right. |

TCFuzion. If you don't like buying parts to help your tC perform better that is your choice. Don't knock other people for doing something you don't agree with. IF* you ever get to drive a tC with a ATB differential from Quaife. You'll know exactly what i am talking about. I told you the tC is more neutral after adding the differential. If you don't know what that really means then that is something you'll have to learn. And as a matter of fact *I* DID spend *MY* $$$ on a quaife piece. I was one of the first 30 people to have a quaife LSD in my tC. |
