I am wanting either a Supercharger or Turbo kit. Do they make either yet for the Automatic Tc? |

Nothing out there or no-one knows? I have read that the supercharger out is only for Manual transmissions, but what about the turbo kits? |

The supercharger has an auto tranny mod out for it now. As far as turbo kits go, the turbonetics and ZPI (stage0 not sure about stage 1) kits are both available for auto trannys. At least that what their advertising on turbo kits.com http://www.turbo-kits.com/tC_turbo_kits.html |

TRD has an auto supercharger kit out now http://www.trdusa.com/featuredpart.cfm?part=tcsupercharger If your going to boost an auto, you may want to look real hard at a supercharger. The boost is more consistent through out the RPM range. Because it is harder to control your RPMs with an auto, you will probably get better overall performance from a supercharger. HP is not everything in performance. If you are serious , make sure to shop around for the kit and the labor. Toyota dealers cut deals on parts and labor. My supercharger cost $2900 and the labor $425. $425 was a misquote , but they had to stick to it. |

other things you can do to an auto are as follows: torque converter LSD (limited slip diff) these will help as well in performance and will do a great turn out w/ a TRD SC as well. |

i want to get a zpi stage 0 sometime soon but i keep hearing that a lot of people sell their tC's immediately after turboing......can someone explain to me what the reasons are behind that? if its problems they're having with the engine cause of the turbo, then i dont want to be stuck with it...... |

Yes there is an auto fit kit that is available for the S/C. There are a few turbo set ups that are available for the automatic as well. If you have questions about the S/C let me know. http://www.trdsparks.com/...at=3&parts_id=634 |

Yeah, buy the $3500 TRD supercharger so you have 200 horsepower and can compete with stock cars |

if you have the money, go for the turbonetics. For almost the same price you are getting almost 100% more hp. But then you have to find someone to install it for you, unless you are good at those kinda stuff (I know I'm not..) |

When I had my Matrix it was the same thing. Some kept the car, but many sold them. My thought would be, now you have done everything you can do (not really, but kinda) and they have nowhere higher to go. I mean, yes you can go stage 2 and 3, but once you get the car to a certain point it will be unreliable for a daily driver.

Do not turbo autos because you'll kill the tranny faster than you think. I had been told by many who said that turboing for auto is bad because once when it goes out, you have to replace the entire TRANNY instead of the clutch. |
