Wusup...Maybe some one can help me with this. Im about to drop my TC 1.2" with Eibach ProKit Springs. I have 18 x 7.5 Konig wheels with 225/40-18 tires. If I put the springs on, will I have a clearance or rubbing problem? Help appreciated. Thanks

when will people learn that their first criteria in buying a wheel should NOT be diameter. "I want my tc to roll on 19's YO."

A tC should never roll on 19s.

By cut down do you mean he cut the stock springs? If so thats so ghetto.

I have some 19's right now and I think the tc looks good with them. The only bad thing is there chrome and there heavy.

i think 19s are really the perfect size for this car. of course they will be heavier, but you can just get 15s and slicks for the track...

I can CUSTOM paint/smoke basically anything on the tc.. headlights, taillights, trim, etc. Drop me a PM if interested in some work. Check out the links to my work.

Oversized rims look cheesy like the bling bling rims all the rappers have on MTV. Totally impractical, besides increase weight, larger wheels negatively affects acceleration, cornering, steering, ride quality and handling.

Plus 1 (18s on the tc) are usually the most any performance tuner would recommend for a street car. If you're all about show, then fine, but 19s are still too big. Wheels are practically the single most important part of any vehicle. People who don't know anything and act like their cars are HOT WHEELS will put mismatched wheels like 19s on a tc...and will suffer the consequences.

Its like the guys that drive the escalades with the 24's.. If you need to have the biggest rims on your ride...you're probably unconsciously compensating for OTHER things in your personal life that aren't as big as they should be.

And as far as chrome wheels on the tc...the car has a sleek, subtle style that doesn't scream out for attention, but rather sits there and catches the corner of your eye and says,"Hey, I don't NEED your attention, but since you're already looking..i'm hot ain't I?" This type of car requires a more laid back, sleek, stealthy, JDM racing style wheel. No frills, just funcionality and good form. Chrome rims belong on escalades, pimp mobiles and complete show cars...not typical otherwise-stock street driven tc's.

yeah, chrome rims dont belong on anything. Black is beautiul! With a polished lip ofcourse.

i really like black rims about a little more than a year ago..but they got so friggin popular. Its like they're the new chrome...STill way better than chrome though.

I prefer a gunmetal or dark silver tone at this point in time.

And yes, polished lip is always good.

I am looking to lower my tc as well since Im gettin my wheels put on next week. Which springs do you guys recommend for a 1.5 inch drop? Do you guys recommend trd springs? I was thinking of those so I dont void my extended warranty....

I have the TRD spring and shocks with 18X8 wheel with 225/40/ZR18 works great has no rubbing the car dose .93G

I think the springs alone will not be enough you should also change shocks and struts to maximize stiffness (for no rubbing).
