Hello, I've been saving my pennies for some time now and with my recent raise/promotion I think I'm just about ready to purchase my tC. My plan is to have enough for a decent down payment and get my payments down in the 220-250 range. But anyways... the reason for this post is to maybe get some insight as to if scion will offer any incentives for purchasing a tC in the near future. I really want a tC, however some of the other big dog automakers offer great incentives for their vehicles and I'm kind of tempted to buy something else in hopes of getting a better deal elsewhere. Anybody have any ideas? Good/bad news? Please share...thanks in advance. |

Here's the thing... Scion sets the price low and there isn't a huge demand for large sales because Scion isn't a mass produced car line. Incentives... not likely. |

OK try to "talk them down"....on accessories and parts..."discounts" are possible....although not really publicly known. It would be an "in house discount". I know cause I got a bit of a discount on my purchase. But the entire SCION line up is as said before priced low real low to the point that the manufacturer is acutally just making back costs to produce...maybe make like a 1 % profit. They dont make much money off SCION...also priced low because the demographic they are targeting are mid 20 year olds...basically college grads...people who are barely even making 30k yearly. Toyota once upon a time tried to target the same demographic group w/the celicas & matrixs and corollas...but to a recent college grad....mid/high 20k is a bit out of reach when you factor in other daily expenses to live. So TOYOTA brand is their money makers...and Lexus of course....SCION is a brand to keep interest in house to off set their convervative immage they have protrayed for so long. I hope this helps a little...I tried real hard to sound professional, lol...... |

yeah man, that helped quite a bit... thanks Klepto. Sounds like the marketing department over at Scion is doing something right because I fit the demographic perfectly. 25, 35k yr... SW tC here I come! |

Scions do not have alot of overhead. So paying Close or MSRP you are maybe paying between 500-1000 over invoice, not a bad deal. Now you can try to get them to throw in accesories to sweeten the deal, but Scion will never have an incentive. |
