Has anyone opted for the grey steering wheel? What is the difference,, the price seems a little hefty, so is there any real difference?? also, does anyone have any pics??

Depends on which one you-re talking about. I-ve seen pics of the one with the silver on the sides, that-s a completely different wheel, which is at scion.com or you can find some here I think. I haven-t seen just the leather wrap in pics. I-ve seen the leather wrap in red though on an XA in person. It was just a little thicker, and feels different obviously. I liked the first one, but decided it was too much, the stock is just fine.

IMO the car with the stock steering wheel looks bland. The leather wrapped wheel with the grey sides looks classy and adds a little something to the cars interior. It-s listed as $300 but I like the looks and will likely get it.

One of the tCs I have driven had the grey steering wheel ... it complimented the interior very nicely ... but that thing would have to serve me drinks or something to warrant the price tag.

Leather wrapped steering wheels are very $$$. There was a recall on the steering wheel in my MR2 because of an interference with the air bag. Anyway, I got a copy of the work order. Cost $536 List $719, so 299 if actually leather is a decent price. BTW the stock steering wheel IS synthetic leather.

I think the stock steering wheels is pretty nice .. Much better than most steering wheels that stock cars come with. Scion gave us lots of goodies

Ya, I test drove a tC @ toyota of north hollywood...they only had an automatic tester ggrrrrrrrrrr.......but anyway it was this -Dealer Signature Fleet- show car thinger with big ol- 19- chrome wheels, tinting, suspension tuning (not trd, iono what it was cuz niether did the dealer lol) and the GREY/BLACK steering wheel! The wheel felt really nice to touch and complimented the interior very well, with 60mos financing it ups ur payments by bout 5$, its worth it!

I-ve got the grey/black leather wrapped wheel in my SSM TC, I-ll take some shots of it on Friday and post them so y-all can see it in real life I really like it, the leather is MUCH nicer than the stock steering wheel. It-s got stitching on the inside of the wheel to hold all the leather together, but it-s definitely well-made and is going to last a looong time...
