evo8 or RX8


clubtc04 Detailer	ok i know yall are gonna be mad at me but im thinkin of selling my TC to my sis and getting a RX8 or and EVO i LOVE both of them even tho the evo out performs the RX8 but i like the evo too but its all performance mostly i just wanted to know what do you guys think of BOTH cars thank yall!!!!

way2sxxy4u Hayward California, US Chief Mechanic	hp, torque, TURBO, awd, gas milage all things better than the rx-8. it'd take the evo any day over the rx-8. the rotory drinks a quart of oil like every month or so. its annoying. has a sexy shape but ehh u can just blast by one in an evo n forget about it.

guitarguru44 South River New Jersey, US Godlike Advisor	I like them both. The evo kills in performance but the RX8 looks better. I'd probably take an RX8 and mod it with the extra money... Your sister will still have the better car if you do this. The difference between a tc and an evo though is like 15 g's and you can really have a hot tc for that money as opposed to just another stock evo... Even saving the extra 10 g's from the rx8 will give you a nice as hell tc as opposed to a bone stock rx8... Thats how Ive always looked at cars under 40 g's...

CaliRow Santa Barbara California, US Scion Guru	Im with these guys, i like the Evo alot. Besides being a Mitsubishi its got all the makings of awesome car(turbo, AWD, looks). The regular lancers are so ugly but the evo should never be called a lancer, its in a different category. I know a few people with them and they love them. One of them just got a HKS BOV and OMG!!!! get all wet just thinking about that sound man. Go Evo and have enough extra for the HKS BOV and you will kick yourself in the ass for even thinking about the RX-8.

Evoman Tire Changer	EVO>RX8 They bouth total diffrent cars. The rx8 is a nice looking sports car its performance will never compare to the EVO. The evo is for someone that wants it for what it is. You want luxury and sportie go RX8 You want performace go with the EVO. If You look at my Sig all the parts that i have listed there costed me only $1575 as a package. That right there is good for mid 12 sec in a 1/4. My friend who has the same mods as I do did 12 flat on race gas and 12.5 on 93 octane. he dynoed at 341 hp and 361TQ! That is really a bargain for only $1575 Oh yea for got to mention A Road Tune witch is $300 bux more so for $1875 you get a beast for the streets. The 4g63 responds to mods better then anyother moter that i have seen. better then the STI. Go with the EVO man you wont be sorry.

I definitely have only good things to say about an evo but an rx8 isnt too bad either. It depends on what you're looking for in a car... As for better than STi... well I think thats a little biased, lol

Evoman Tire Changer	STI's are nice cars as well. My friend has an 05 STI with the Gold rims..very nice. However my Evo out runs him all the time. They are rated at 300hp 300tq but dyno at 240-250hp/tq. He installed a 3' TBE and dynoed at 255-265. My friend with an evo8 dynoed at 250/260 stock and after a Megan 3' TBE he dynoed 273/275hp/tq. It is harder to extract power from the 2.5 boxer motor the STI has. It takes twise as much $$ then an EVO. Heck a base ecu flash is I belive like $300-400 bux for the STI and the evo is only $175-200 tops. I havent dynoed my car yet but will soon.

clubtc04 Detailer	thanks you guys i really what the i think i really want the evo more butt i think if i get the evo i would race more drive faster to work lol and prob more people would want to race and evo lol ya you guys think the same cuz i KNOW if you guys got and evo yall will do the same and im trying to cut down cuz if i get caught for racin man in F****** lol THANKs YALL (ya im a Texan lol)

Soupy Tucson Arizona, US Oil Changer	my buddy has a '03 Evo and loves it he dumped about 20k into it and now its around 400 whp... the funny thing is that my '06 tc get more looks from the girls than his Evo... but then he blows my doors off when we drive away... oh well its all in what you want the car to do for you... i'll take the chicks and look good he can get the speeding tickets... lmao

phattc Tire Changer	A friend of mine has a rx8 and says that after 90,000 miles the motor has to be drastically overhauled , So do whatever you want, but TAKE THE EVO!!!!!!!!!

VVTi Oil Changer	I'd get an EVO, but for another 15 grand more.. you can boost the the tC and smoke a stock evo and make it look better with a wide body kits and coilovers...

Am sure the $20k didnt go all to the motor now.. cuz for less then $5k you can get in the 400 hp range. And you right about the girls... when i drive my Evo girls ask me "why do you have big wing?" I get looks from da fellas 95% of the time. Its diffrent with the TC, the other day I was at 711 this girls came out and started asking me question about the TC and how one of them is about to buy one.. ended up giving them a ride and i got a number! Corners with the EVO are amazing!
