I was wondering what the best springs to get for the tC are. Price is not a BIG issue, I just want to know what the best quality ones are.

i'd like everyone's opinion on this as well. also, how hard would it make daily driving to have the tC dropped about 2 inches? (ie the larger drop tanabe springs). The tC is the lowest car i've ever drvien on a regular basis so I have no clue as to how low we can go before driveways become a real pain.

Sounds good except for a few minor problems. One, the community college I go to is with a bunch of rednecks, old people, and people who just flat out can't drive. The parking lot where I park has 3 HUGE speed bumps that are obsticles along the way. Now with these people, there is no safe way to get over them slowly because they all slow down to a stop or get up on your bumper and I am WAY to protective of my car to let people get on my bumper! Another would be my drive-way. It's about a a 45 degree angle up on rocks and on a BUSY street! That's a bit of an issue! Any suggestions or other spring ideas?

I have the tien s-tech springs also and they drop the car to the perfect ride hight. It is low and I take my time over speed bumbs and comming out of steep driveways. I've scraped the bottom slightly a few times but its no biggie I guess because they look so damn good!!

Also. Is there any difference between the H-tech and the S-tech besides the drop? Like, is there a difference in ride or not?

If you go h-tein, i would rather stay stock because it not much of a drop, but s-tein makes a huge difference. ill show u some pics. this is with tein-s

Another pair of questions to add to the mix:

I saw the Tein have a larger drop in the front and the Tanabe have a larger drop in the rear, any specific reasons?

How important is it to get new shocks with springs?

I'm not EXACTLY looking at a big drop, just maybe better handling and yes some what of a drop. But of course my uphill, gravel driveway is a big issue in deciding. How is the handling of the H-tech and has anyone heard about Progressive Sport?

well i got same question got my scion 2 weeks ago and i wanna lower it im not use to riding this high. but i dont want make same mistake i did on my celica and lower it with cheap coils. i dont really mind how low it is i can drive it im use to being a inch and a hlaf of ground in my celica. but what i want it a smoth ride still i got real tired of the hard hits i would get in the celica.

im thinkinh H-tech cuz it still be lowered and noticeble and i wont have to mess with camber or stress problems as much or things wearing out as fast.
i want the S-tech to for the ride hight but im scared that it will stress the ride more have to replace stuff faster and MY MAIN QUESTION how bad the camber or can it get inline with out any other kits? not big deal but the lower it goes more stuff you gotta do to make it ride good. so right now im thinking about h-tech but im taking my time trying get a good idea and if any one has pics with H-tech i would love to see them and hear you ideas Thanks guys

the camber issue isn't even that noticeable on the s-techs.. i really should get it in for an alignment but i've been so busy lately.. if you want a more conservative drop.. get the h-techs.. Tein proved to me how great their quality was in my purchase and i'd recommend Tein anyday

I installed TRD's on my car and it changes the way the car looks without sacrificing the ride. The car feels more attached to the ground and i have plenty of clearance so i have never scratched my car.

If it is me i would'nt take the chance of buying some third party springs if i can stay TRDand have what i want+piece of mind.

if you want to play it safe then get TRD, but on stock rims and without any grounds the s-techs won't scrape on you either.. the good thing about TRD springs is that they stay within factory specs but the ride height was alittle TOO conservative for me

Do the eibach's drop a lil lower than the trd's?

Hotchins offer an excelent drop! That is what i'm getting for xmas. I have done so much research on springs and I was going to go with TRD but the drop is a bit to small. And i like how the Hotchkins springs level out the tC by slightly lowering it more in the rear. And they are cheaper than TRD by about 15-20 bucks. Same quality if not better!
