I asked a guy on scion.com-s chat this same question, but they seriously need to learn more about their cars... this question has been brought up before but no one really responded to it. I was wondering if the stock stereo has aux. inputs and what exactly are the dual power points? Is there power already run for the sub?

well i-ll add what i can..the aux input i believe is being worked on by companies like PIE.. they plug into the wiring harness.. the old civics had a cd changer input and PIE used that to have an AUX input.. according to their pdf file of application guide.. the scions use PIE part no. TOY-AUX, location is a 12 pin dataport at the rear of the radio. Requires Toyota part # 08695-00370 or PIE part # TOY03-FMMThe other part for all scions is PIE part (the aux input) is PIE Part no. TOY/PC-SON that what PIE says is that you can use it as a cd changer interface or an aux input.. pretty cool.. here is the part at their websitehttp://www.pie.net/aux_toyota.htmand installation instructions herehttp://www.pie.net/toy_aux_inst.htmhope that helps you out.. i think i-ve seen these like $50 or 60.. have to check it out and let us know..

I found a couple places to get the aux input adapter. Here-s one for $70: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/logjam/pietoy03aux.htmlIf you want to hook up your ipod or anything else that has a 3.5mm jack instead of RCA you need to get a 3.5 - RCA6mm adapter cable, but those are easy to come by. I believe the newer part number is TOY03-AUX and will work with scions and if I-m reading everthing correctly you-ll be able to control whatever you have connected to the adapter through the car stereo controls (even steering wheel controls, if you have them), pretty cool indeed

cool.. glad you were able to find it so far!! i think it-s a great idea.. i will have to contact PIE when i have a chance to make sure the 2005 models (scion) will work with that.. but that-s how i would install a sirius tuner model.. i just didn-t like XM.. just my preference.. plus the XM tuner is around $600 or so from Scion.. no thanks.. get a kenwood for like $99 and $49 for the car kit!

dual power points are power sources. (aka cigarrette lighters) there is one in the front in plain view next to the shifter and there is one in the center armrest compartment.

The DF-TOY allows for two auxiliary inputs to the radio

will the df-toy work with scion radios? I thought it said it wouldn-t work with XM radio Systems? I-m not sure..If it does, I-d like to get one of those.

The DF-TOY does work . i don-t think it will work if you have Toyota satellite radio tuner installed. if you don-t then your in luck.

I was trying to figure out how to hook up both my portable MP3 player and my subs. Would using the DF-TOY work, since it has two connections, or must both act as inputs? If not, then what would I need to hook up an MP3 player and a set of subs?

This is somewhat random but does the stock deck have the IP-Bus port? It-s a standard aux port on Pioneer aftermarket decks.
