Best wax for my new TC

What do you guys recommend for wax for my new TC? On past cars I was always a meguiars fan, but on our other car I have been using NU Finish and it works well. I did see the thread where someone was recommending Pinnacle, but seems more than a bit pricy.

Any thoughts? I am hoping the weather breaks this week so I can get it cleaned up.

I always use Meguiar's products. I love the shine it gives.

Ya i'm thinking about trying some of this as long as it does not have cleaners in it:

If your car is a metallic color, NXT Tech Wax paste is a great choice. Cheap, locally available, and is well known for causing the metallic flake to pop (in other words, really stand out). NXT Tech Wax does contain cleaners, but I don't know why you wouldn't want them. They help the wax to adhere to the paint. Another great OTC product that I use in my arsenal is Meguiar's #26. It provides a deep wet finish to the paint. Good for solid colors. For cheap boutique products, Poorboy's World gets my vote. Their wax Natty's and Natty's Blue (first is for light colored cars, second is for darker colors) are great products. Best part is they cost around 15 dollars. Poorboy's World's sealant, EX and EX-P are also great choices. Four Star's Ultimate Paint Protection sealant ringing in around $20 dollars is a great choice for metallic colors (if you go look in the showoff section, I recently detailed my Nautical Blue tC and used this product). Though the choice between a liquid and a paste wax is usually preference, paste waxes can have a higher carnauba content than that of a liquid. Reason? Liquids need to have a higher solvent composition and this kills the carnauba. This is why I prefer paste waxes. Sealants are always liquids. Hope this helps

Usually liquids are used for machine application while pastes are more for those wanting to apply a coat of wax by hand. Although some people have popped the paste out of the container and used that chunk of wax to apply by machine. I have noticed that I can get FAR more cars out of a tin of paste wax than I can get from a bottle of wax. I always seem to use less paste wax than i do liquid while still giving the same results. This is the reason why I stick to pastes. more waxes per $.

Thanks for the detailed reply. You made me a believer! Once I use all my NTX liquid wax I will try out the paste.

I heard from my friend that Meguries is comming out with a brand new wax that is even better than the NTX series. Has anyone heard about this?

I've always preferred a product like nu-finish because it isn't wax, its a polymer. Polymers build up better then wax allowing less frequent application for the same shine. If i had more time to wax i would go w/ meguiars, but until i hit the lottery and don't have to work crazy overtime hours i'm sticking w/ polymer based products. sometimes i think the only reason i work is to mod the tc!

I would recommend Zymol. It's a bit tough to work with, but it'll provide an incredible shine. My friend used to detail cars on the side before and we'd try out different waxes and Zymol was our favorite.

I would not recommend it on a car that is dark and has a lot of paint chips because it tends to fill them in and you'll get white spots which are difficult to get out, but if you have a white or light colored paint or you barely have any paint chipped off your car, Zymol will work great.
