hey peeps, just wondering whos running 3-way components up front. how did you install them? i was looking to do the woofers in the door, mids in the dash, and the tweeters in the a-pillars (or maybe in the dash too, since theres plenty of room). if any of you have pics of your install, can i see what it looks like? thanks .

Well i'm in the process of deciding myself. 3 way or 2 components.
but the location is KEY! if you do a 6 inch/4inch/1inch 3 way component set. the prime location for EASE, simplicity. is 6" in factory hole, tweeter and woofer in molded kick panel.

yea i know, install is very important. maybe the midrange in the kickpanel and the tweeter in the a-pillar (to bring the sound image up some)? you planning on running a passive or active setup? i'm more than likely going to go active since its a little more flexible in terms of tuning. maybe i'll run 8" or 10" woofers in place of the rear speakers (btw, are they 5.25" or 6.5"? finding different answers).

speakers shouldn't be above chest level if possible. but that's all up to you, screw what sound quality judges want.
put'm where you like to hear them. it's your car, your ear.
