anyone please tell me how do i get rid of rainx from my windshield. i went for a car wash and they probably mixed rainx when they cleaned my windshield and now i cant get it off. whenever there's rain, the water is split into hundreds of little droplets that when hit by incoming cars headlight will make you feel like you have a thousand prism in your windhield. and another thing, it makes your wiper squeak and it's very annoying

are you sure they put rain-x on your car cuz rain-x doesn't streak on mine. it actually makes the wipers sweep smoother n all the rain get wiped off. n i love it at highway speeds cuz u don't even need the wiper, the wind just blows everything away. it's like LIGHT SPEED! sorry...couldn't control myself. but if u hate it that much try windex-ing. might take some elbow grease n a cover tries to get it all off. good luck to u

yes, i'm gonna wash it myself from now on. it's hard when you're working and you can only wash your car at night. but in the mean time, how am i gonna remove rainx? windex doesn't do anything.

Wash your car on the weekend. Windex(with some elbow grease ) will work just fine . Rain X will wash away after a few washes.

ok i'm gonna try windex one more time but if that doesnt help, i may have to try cerium oxide. they say it's the best way to remove rain x. i found it here:

rain-x is awesome.. the only negative thing i have about it is that it kinda leaves a slight fog on my wind-shield

Rain-X is Awsome, they prolly mixed it w/water, and they prolly don't know what they're doing, it takes some elbow grease to get the rain-x to not leave a slight fog, and if you use too much it'll fog up, you gotta put just enough on the windsheild.

Agreed, fog-x is worthless

I have always loved rain-x. It was the first thing i did when i bought my tc was rain-x every piece of glass on it and then drain the washer fluid and refill it w/ rain-x fluid. as long as i'm going faster then 35-40 mph i never have to put my wipers on. To get rid of the fog when you apply it, take it off w/ a mist of clean water and some balled up newspaper.

if you just wax your windows, it will have the same water beading effects. and it won't leave streaks.

rain x is great if as long as you dont leave it on too long after applt=ying it. the longer you leave it the harder it is to get off.

i prefer the rain x glass wax. i find it easier to use.

also

use alcohol 90% strength to remove it from your windshield
that should work

I swear by rain x, wont use anything else. I love how it makes the water run off the window. And if your on the highway you barely even need your wipers.

Here's another trick that takes out all the water spots that have been in the glass for so long. Use a clay bar and windex. You will remove the layer of grease and what not from the road including water spots. You will leave a completely crystal clear glass with a waxy coat from the clay. It works quite well. Use a lot of windex and keep moving the clay bar around. This will help pick up the contaminents. Do it in the shade. As it dries, use a microfiber cloth to remove the residue and then with a clean microfiber cloth spray some Eagle One 20/20 on it and clean it off nicely. You will be impressed, trust me.

Go to Autozone or pepboys. It's either in a black box by Meguire's and the bar is blue, or it's in a big red box by Mother's and the bar is yellow. I have the yellow one b/c it comes with a small bottle of cleaner wax for the paint. Just make sure you're out of the sun completely. Do it in the garage or after sunset. Keep the windshield really soaked with windex and just use the clay like you would on the paint. Then, after about 1-2 minutes when you see the caly residue dry, just go over it with a microfiber towel and use some Eagle One 20/20 spray to get the rest off.......Final wipe down with a microfiber after the 20/20 is necessary for any leftover residue. Good luck.
