??HELP??QUESTION 06 TC iPod Upgrade??

 Does anyone or any 06 TC owners have pics of what the actualy upgrade is? Also is the upgrade also a incar charger for the ipod? Thanks for the help. ANy info is highly appreciated. If there is a thread already w/this info please direct me to it.

 the upgrade only includes the port for a cable that connects to your ipod. The rest is up to you. Your ipod can be charged via the 12v outlet next to the ipod hookup.

the 260 dollar upgrade is a completely different HU with a second knob that allows you to control your ipod from your HU. The ipod sits in the center console and is charged and connected to your HU via one cable that connects to the docking port.

Without the HU, you need one cable to connect, one cable to charge, and cannot control the ipod via the HU.

 thanks guys for the info i appreciate it...reason i ask is cause my ipod is having battery issues and wanna make sure the adapter charges as well.

 for a little over 50 dollars plus shipping you can get a new battery for your ipod (I think for 3rd gen ipods) straight from apple.

 would a regular AUX cable work with without getting the ipod feature for the tC? 260 bucks is a lot.

 Yup regular aux will work, you just wont get the text on the HU, or the control from you HU or wheel controls

 well i extended my warrenty for $50 and ended up w/ a replacement brand new ipod mini...

the ipod upgrade from scion is a cable inside the arm rest compartment...i guess hooked up/wied up in a way that it is read on the radio and controled by the steering wheel as well....i dunno if it was worth the $260 but its too late now i just picked up my flint mica last night.
