Well, my TRD springs were installed yesterday, and I have to admit it made a big difference in how the car handled. Turns are tighter and more responsive, any turn I had to take at 20 mph I can do at 40 mph now. However, after the install and driving around for a while yesterday I found that the car pulls to the right a little bit. It could have just been me looking for problems or it might be the roads around town but I figure I-d drive it for a few days and if it bothers me too much I-ll get it re-aligned.The cost was around $400.00, which was the only option I put into the payments. Four finger gap to a two finger gap all the way around. Looks damn good , I will get back to guys on performance, I drove for a while last night but still haven-t gotten on it hard. Ride quality is almost the same a little bit of bounce on rough roads but nothing major.I-ll be getting the TRD sway bar soon, will let you know Edit: Well, all is good now after the two-hour re-alignment the car handles really well. Not to mention it just looks GOOD lowered. I posted some pics in the modified car area comparing the stock height and the lowered height.http://clubsciontc.com/mo...;page=4&sort=I-ve got about 600 miles on her so far; I-m just waiting now before I really get on it.

Sounds like they charged to much for install. The dealer kept trying to talk me into getting options from them instead of having them port installed...I said they were crazy(and so are some of the service guys runnin shops here in TX)....Well, you got what you want though and thats all that matters!!! Glad to here about the cornering!

Well, the $400.00 was for install and the part, but I would have been happy if they got things right the first time. Today, I-m heading back to the dealer to get an alignment done. After calling the dealer yesterday they said they checked it but didn-t align anything. I don-t know why they didn-t do it, after almost any suspension modification an alignment should be done. The pull to right is getting worse and the rear wheels have some negative camber. / I hate having to pay someone to do work and then they half ass it. To anyone else that gets the dealer to install the springs make sure they do the work right the first time and stress that you do want an alignment after they do the install.

How much did the dealer charge you for the install? I-m thinking about doing the same thing b/c of the whole warranty issue. Thanx in advance.peace

$200.00 for the install, but I wouldn-t be surprised if they tried to charge you more. I rolled the springs into my payments, when they tried to charge me more ($400.00) I told them I wouldn-t get them. The price suddenly came down. Good Luck if your dealer is anything like mine your going to need it.

How-s the camber situation? I just laid down $700 on tires, I don-t want them wearing out any time soon.. if required, I-ll have to do whatever is necessary to correct the negative camber.

All is good with mine. The dealer fixed the alignment issue and the camber on the rear. The dealer (or the shop) that aligns the car should fix any camber issue. There is enough adjustment for the TRD springs so no worries.

Have your tC re-aligned right after the spring/strut install. The springs have been heat-treated/compressed and do not need to settle. Save yourself the trip and frustration of trying to drive a stick while eating when you keep drifting to the right! lol

Bought my TRD Springs on sale a McGeorges-s had them installed at Precision Muffler in Milpitas. Gabe knew what he was doing, he has done 4 or 5 tC-s now. He installed my Sway bar in about 15 minutes (Inner holes=Race setting) Then did the springs. Total time was 2 hours flat, charged me $180 out the door. My car still tracks dead straight. I don-t really see an alighnment in my future since I do rotate the tire regularly. And the fact I really dont care for the stock rubber, I will check alighnment when the tires are replaced. As for everyone worried about camber or having problems, No adjustments were required on mine. But, Gabe told me that the rear does some adjustment in the arm if you need it. The front doesn-t. What he did on the front was pull it out a little (I guess there is a little slop in the arm) as he tightned it all back up. Looks perfect to me. Drives much better than stock. If your looking for comparison pics/before and afters check my webpage below.

I suggest an alignment anyway. The car may look perfect but even the slightest area thats off could cause fast tire wear.I swapped out my Intrax Springs (3in front, 2in rear) for some Dropzones (1.75in front, 1.7in rear). I had my car aligned and I guess they didnt do it perfect. My tires lasted 6months with regular rotations. Of course I was pissed. I got new tires and had another shop do my work. So far no problems, just lots of tread.

I just ordered mine at Ebay from Kuruma Motoring for $165.71 including shipping and insurance. Most distributors are back ordered so I decided to order from this guy since his auction indicates there are 44 available so I assume he has it in stock.

Advanced Auto/Auto zone has spring compressors for $15-20. You can get a decent impact gun at sears for under $100 but you got to have an air compressor. BACK TO TOPIC

I got my S-Techs for $144.98 ship. It was through a seller named akaspeed2003 or something along those lines. I ordered them a month before but he was on backorder. I guess he just got a bunch in. Order while they-re hot.Ohh yeah one more question?! If you install the springs and get your wheels alligned. Will you have to allign your wheels again if you were to install a camber kit?! I-m about to get the Hotchkis rear camber links to adjust the camber. -melly
