Don't have a pic but the antenna is stuck to the inside of the windshield on the pass. side of the rearview mirror. It is a 4 inch triangle with nothing on the outside of the car.

since i have a 6inch visor tint on the front, you can't see any of the antenna receiver from the ouside. but i guess if your don't have the tint, then it will show from the outside.

there is no tuner since the Pioneer headunit is Satelite ready. All there is is the triangle reciever as shown.

yes there is a tuner it should be under the pass. seat. At least thats where the instructions say to mount it.

i think ur right... there seems to be a coiled line of wires that run under the passenger seat thru a whole into the carpet and seems to be up into the center console. i didn't notice since i went to the dealer and they did it for free, so i didn't have any packaging or manuals.

Hey Nightfire, you having any issues with your Sirius? No Signal for the first minute or two? And, is there a way to have the text scoll so you can see the entire artist name and song title?

THanks!

yeah, the signal sometimes gets cut off from dense trees or when you go under a bridge or overpass. the signal does not pick up underground or in parking structures. basically it is worse than AM or FM radio frequency. second, i dont know a way to scroll through the whole text for the song. i remember that it scrolled by itself for certain songs.

I think your antenna placement maybe an issue with your poor reception.

I ahd sirius on my old car and had the antena on the roof and the quality was great. There were a few dead spots, but 99% of the time it was fine. It sounds much better than FM and the only time I lost my signal in a tunnel is when it was more than say 150ft. long (not a regular highway overpass). Maybe the tint is cutting the signal down. But until I get my SAT radio installed in the tC I dont know for sure.

I had a unit in my last car, but it was not in the H.U., it was an add on. So I understand some of the restrictions that come with Satellite. But I am very dissapointed with the "factory" quality Sirius. WHen I start the car, I get a signal for about 1-2 minutes, after that it will cut in and out for about 30 seconds and then I get NO SIGNAL for about 2-3 minutes. After that it works great.

Other complaints: It doesn't scroll text for artist/song title. For "System of a Down" I see "System of a", there is no scroll. There is also no way to preview what is playing on the other channels without changing to that channel and no way to save your favorite song titles and have an alert if a station is playing.

The last 2 are petty, but the first is not. I had my old antenna on my dash with no problem and currently have it on my 2nd car on the roof. I've had that one for about a year and love it. This factory install has so far been somewhat of a joke, I'm glad it was a free upgrade promotion.

I just added a aftermarket sirius sat. reciever, the sportster replay model. I mounted the antenna on the dashboard on the passanger side, tight up against the windshield. So far I have had no problems, but I live in Phoenix where we have no tunnels or densely treed areas.

THats the thing, I don't have any issues at all with my aftermarket receiver. It's the stock one that I have an issue with.
