http://www.clubsciontc.co...topic&t=1863There should be links in this thread with places where people bought their LEDs. If you can-t find them, then try searching. It should be here somewhere. Good luck.

If you really insist on buying something I will gladly do the upgrade via my magic wireless remote, or I could even sell you a stock set of orange/amber leds. J/K

for me orange is exactly the same as amber... so just live it like it is and pretend it to be orange and you will be just fine.

i agree. just stay away from trying to get orange, because basically i felt that amber is the -orange- of LEDs. go white, it looks cool. or green...

To tell you the truth, I don-t think I-ve seen many (if any at all) orange LEDs... anywhere. The only orange lighting I can think of would be neons or even CCFLs? But then again, if you really want it, you-ll find it somewhere... somehow. Good luck.

How Viro. Didn-t you say something about having someone pay you so you can get a new LCD screen and in turn, would do this mod for them? I-m interested, but I don-t know if you-d be able to wait because I have to save up. I don-t know. I have a SW, too and I-ve wanted to do white LEDs on all my amber lighting as well. Just giving you a heads up. Where are you located?

you could get white ones...and get glass paint and paint them orange but i warn you if you do that..you need to get a dark version of orange to get the normal look orange you want. I tried that in my previous car (2003 Corolla S - RIP [divorse]) with blue and it didnt work because the blue paint wasnt dark enough.

good luck...suggestion get amber which is as orange as you will find it anywya....or do white or my first suggestion w/paint.

holla

BTW I LIKE THE FACT YOUR TRYING TO BE DIFFERANT

Never do blue gauges b/c you'll strain your eyes too much at night. I'm getting my white LEDs in today for the gauges and turn signals and keeping the indicator lights (brake, cel, cruise) red. Those are warning lights so I want a really nice contrast with the white gauges. White or yellow is the best for your eyes at night. Anything close to sunlight color is the easiest on your eyes b/c you're used to it already.

LEDs are very hard to make dim, but since we have dimmer dials, just make sure that it's up all the way. Any color, even red, will be brighter than a standard bulb in the same color so there shouldn't be a problem with green at all.

..... uhh.. white is the HARDEST on the eyes at night... your eyes get strained the most because its the mixture of all the wavelengths..

you know how red preserves night vision? well.. white is the complete OPPOSITE of that.

did you know that a white led is nothing more than a blue one with a yellow phospher?

And do you understand how red has the longest wavelength which makes it the hardest for your eye to perceive? White does have all the colors in the spectrum which makes it less straining on your eye. Yes it becomes overwhelmed, but does not tire it out. Unless the light pulses or has some type of "movement" in it, which LEDs do not, it won't tire your eye out.

But I'm tired of getting into post disputes over things like this. They always end up wasting space on these forums. IMO and scientific research, white will allow your eye to see clearly yet make it harder to walk out of your car and instantly have "night vision." Red forces your eye to focus harder b/c it's wavelength makes it harder to see. You will preserve your "night vision" due to the fact that your pupils are open wider when viewing red light but just wait for the white headlights coming your way. You don't want to have your pupils dialated to the max and then a set of HIDs come your way and blind you.

I'm doing white for safety. Good luck with further upgrades.
