I-m looking for some feedback from people with experience to tell me the easiest and/or best way to polish stainless steel. I just received the ZPI cat-back exhaust and I would like to polish a few inch long piece of stainless tubing between the polished muffler and tip. Please only response if you have experience, as I know I could do it one way or another but I-m looking for the easiest and/or best way.PS: Don-t worry, I-ll be posting pics of the exhaust straight out of the box and after installation on the -ZPI Cat-back w/Header- thread.

My mom has this aerosol can of stainless steel polish that she uses on kitchen appliances and stuff, I just take that and some paper towels and clean up my trd exhaust tip. I spray a lot of the stuff onto the paper towel and then scrub to make sure I don-t get any of that stuff on the paint.

Yeah I have some of that but it is just for cleaning stainless steel. I-m talking about actually polishing dull stainless steel tubing to a reflective chrome-like finish to match the canister and tip.

you have a little extra money lying around, I bet you could take it to a plating/polishing place and get it electropolished. That would do it. Mabbe for like 150 bucks or less. As for cleaning/protecting, I swear by a product called Sheilashine. I usually have to buy it online, but have found it sometimes at Home Depot.

ok, close the forum...the only way to CHROME your stainless steel is to take it to a chroming place where they can dip it, magnetize it, and chrome it...no wax/polish/abrasive will turn stainless steele to as bright as chrome...

Electropolishing will make it very bright (Like Chrome) Not as smooth a chrome dip. The smoother the surface is to start with, the better it turns out.

Try some stainless steel polish and a dremel with polish wheel, that-s your best bet to shining it up.

WTF?? The muffler on my ZPI cat-back is polished stainless steel and I can see my reflection in it. BTW, I said like chrome, not into chrome.
