 HEy!! everyone i-m just curious who do you think is going to win in a race like this my stock tc vs. a 2004 eclispe gts? because i m going to race a person with a eclispe hope i have a chance...i try get the video after we are done racing...

 Looking at the stats of an Eclipse GTS, (v6, 210hp, 205tq) the Eclipse would win easily.

 depends. those aren-t light cars either. i haven-t seen the specs though so i-m gonna say there are too many variables. autos? 5spds? is the gts a spyder?

If you are running a auto to a auto then the Eclipse will win. However a Manual will be very close even though there is a horsepower difference. (I have seen many races with this situation)

 Road&Track put a 2002 eclipse gt 5spd at 0-60 in 7.2s. We have a drivers- race folks. As the admin said, a 5spd tC will definitely have a shot against the auto 3g eclipse.

 well my wife and i got our tc yesterday and she wanted to be the first to drive..soo on the highway she saw a gts and the guy that was driving ask for a race.....it was pretty close we won but like for a nose not too much sooo go for it. ooooohh yeah it was a AT triptonic gts 02 and ours is a MT 06 soo be quick when shifting and its a good race :mrgreen: have fun :mrgreen: and do it in a safe place dont be nuts like my wife

 a friend of mine had a -92 nissan sentra se-r 5 speed (stock i4, 140 hp) and schooled my other friend-s -00 eclipse manual gt (stock v6, 200 hp) time and time again. you shouldn-t have too much trouble trying to beat one of those things. of corse, it all depends on you, it-s not all about car and hp, driver plays a huge part. good luck!

is that the sedan? or the coupe? Either way....the person in the accord must-ve sucked at driving, because you shouldn-t be already beating accord v6-s with just an intake

lol u must be lying because the GTS didnt come out till 03-04, and who races a brand new car thats not even broken in

 im just being a ass. but the triptronic suck. There is this guy where i live that has a GT sporty (triptronic) and he cant hit 16s. If it was a GTS then thats high 15 which is as good as a manual TC

 Calirow, depends....we can take the 4cyl version....the 6cyl can defintley smoke our tC-s....even with an I/H/E setup...Secondly...heehe, u may race now boosTc...but what happens if its a silent alarm going off in ur engine, that racing it without it being broken in will somehow BREAK y0 shit 3 days after your warrant goes out? ahhajust kiddin, knock on wood my friend!

 LoL That is not funny..... well yeah...lol.but im not a beliver of the break in i only do the break in when a car is turbo for the first time (non-turbo too turbo)I put a 4A-GE 20v in my 86 corolla and dint do the break in and it had all new internals and its running good (knock on wood) oohh and anybody raced the new 06 eclipse,and how bad was the wooping (sad but 06eclipse is fking fast)

2000+ top of the line eclipses are nothing compared to 1990-1999 top of the line eclipses.so its actually the 90-99 gst-s and gsx-s you have to watch out for if you ever race an eclipse. not much the 2000 up ones. ask metalranger33, he will agree.

 it was supposed to be that the 3rd gen eclipse and the 2nd gen eclipse where supposed to be equal as far as performance. if you go to club3g.com you will see a lot of timeslips from cars there. Now ive never seen a 3g gt vs a 2g gst or gsx but ive raced both in my tc and the 2g pulled harder and faster on me than the 3g. but it all depends, if the driver sucks you might get lucky

 Well most of the gst and gsx are modded to its hard to see a factory spect 99 or older eclipse turbo BUT with a turbo TC well thats a very diferent story

 autos just suck period. not as fast as a manual, you can mis shift, launch bad, and sometimes when ur shifting those awsome autos sometimes the tranny doesnt catch the gear

 yesh the my friend gt eclispe was beat by me i left him by three to two cars but yea the triptronic shift gt eclspe is not that great...the same night i raced a manual gs eclispe same 02 and i got beat off the line all the time but i slowly pulled on him.

 New gen v6s are fast... if you compared them to cars that are 4cyl and in a different tier.
But new gen v6s are slow as a dog chasing his own arse compared to cars in its own class.

Some that come to mind are the 350z, s2000, mitsu evo and subi sti....

And the new gen 4cyl eclipses in the tC class are just as slow respectivly.
