Is there anyone around California, Los Angeles area that knows how to install springs? I-ve been looking around the autoshops and they seem to be charging around $200... :/ In some forums I saw people doing it for really cheap and I was wondering if there is anyone around here that might be able to help me with this... I have no idea how to install them T_T

200$ is what i would CHARGE to install springs, if someone GARAGE does it (ie: at your own home) the time to install springs on jacks and jackstands, is roughly 1hr per tires, not to mention aligment. If you-re qoute includes an aligment, i-d take them up on that offer. Its very time consuming (and im sure others have installed it quicker, but if average tiem for a shop is 4 hours, i-d expect more or the same from an avg mechanic) Because you need spring compressors and all... such a labor intensive job!Don-t know of a single person who has an aligment machine in their home-garage....Check out that 200 offer again, see if it includes aligment, if it does, do it.

actually...I got mine installed at a shop for $100 w/o alignment, and it took 1 1/2 hrs. alignment only costs 45$ more or less.babo4u: where you located? if you-re near the 626 area, you might wanna swing by the places where I got my springs installed at. btw, the place I got them installed at are pros: they do tint, alarm, springs, stereos, etc.

45$ for a decent alignment, WHERE, please show me, because average price for an aligment with a decent warranty is going to be 59.99 private..... 69.99 for upscale places, and 89.99 dealer...thats pretty amazing my friend....and yes, 100$ is about right for a gargae, then again garage has more spring compressors, more workers, and more tools, therefore making their job ezr and cheaper than if i were to do it in my own house garage.... not to mention we have to lift/stand/pull, repeatedly, and they can just lift the vehicle 1nce and to them all. not to mention that hydraulic lift makes labor ezr =)

are you around the 626 area? Montebello: Auto & Tire Tel: 323-838-0402 $45 for tCSan Gabriel: Huyler-s Auto Tel: 626-288-2249 $49.99Therefore it is recommended to go to a reputable shop to install springs instead of letting average Joe charge more for a shotty job.Btw, it was just one guy that did my springs and he did it with quickness, w/o many of the tools that you have mentioned above. But of course, prices are different depending on the location you are at. So that could be why you think its cheap, TRD_tC.
