All right, let me start off by saying, -I am very angry with the sun at this time-.Now that we-re past that, sit back and allow me to share a tale. It was a beautiful sunny saturday, the second of July, in the fifth year of the twenty-first century. I had the brilliant idea of washing my car, having everything prepared. After the scrubbing and soaking, it was ready to dry, and using my quick hands and experience from countless months of detailing, I took out a chamy, soaked it, squeezed the water out, and began my journey. Trying my best to overlook the gigantic scratches that had appeared on the car over time, and wishing to god that there was some sort of shady refuge where I could better achieve this, I did my best to dry the car with the chamy, only to have the sun soak the small dots of water left behind into the paint and windows. Beautiful. I sprayed down the car once more, and took it out for a spirited drive in the boonies, hitting upwards of 80 MPH, hoping to just airdry it. Upon arriving back at my house, I noticed that, once again, the sun had dried the flying beads into the paint in that time, and this time, they were etched in there (not the mention the number of bugs that hit my bumper during the cruise). So, I give up on life. I tried scrubbing them out with the chamy and microfiber, but it looks like I-ll need a buffer and serious patience if I want to get this paint looking new again. Can anyone recommend a low-powered, short-barrelled gun in the price range of free to $10? I don-t want to leave a mess behind in my room, and I-m low on cash flow at the moment. Thanks in advance.

hahah wow, so depressing....Where do you live where the beads dry so fast? When the sun does that to me, i break out the ZYMOL waterspot remover, and that usually takes care of it. AFter that, i do that to all spots with spots (haha)...and i wax it with ZYMOL all over. WOrks great.... almost as good as ZAINO and 1/2 the price.GOod luck!

I-m in Washington, and we-ve got some pretty hard water, rain, faucet, or whatever. Obviously, I wasn-t going to blow my brains out; I-m glad you got the joke. Anyway, I rewashed my car when the sun was going down, and I had some shade to work with, but I think I-ll need to buff the paint to get some of the rougher, more etched spots out. Where do you get Zymol, and how much does it run for?On a side note, I-m not a big fan of chamies. Never really was; kind of skeptical from the start. I mean, where-s the logic behind those things? You need to soak them to soften them up, and they leave crazy trails of water regardless of how much you squeeze out the water. You pick some up only to have that trail behind, squeeze it, and redo it. I hit up one spot, and as long as the sun doesn-t reach it, it-ll look fine, but in detail, you can see the tiny spots left behind. I don-t have any sort of air dry method, minus what I did earlier, and that-s just flat-out ridiculous. If nothing else, I just end up dirtying up the tires and splashing water from them. Mix that with the dirt from the ground, and suddenly it-s not a mystery why rainy WA doesn-t allow you to show off your freshly cleansed car after day one.It-s looking clean, but the windows look like garbage, and it doesn-t help that some of the tint on my side has started bubbling; I need to take it to the fellas at the shop and have them check it out.

I dunno about chamis...but the CHamois, the 50$ pieces of leather to dry, work wonders, they are awesome, teamed up with -the absorber- i rarely have marks o my car.ZYMOL spot remeover can be found next to ZYMOL wax at your local checker/pep boys/kragen or other auto shop. the ZYMOL spot removert is a Glossy sticker in a dark blue spray bottle, (similar to windows XP tool bar blue) The ZYMOL wax is a baby/sky blue, and smells like coconut and other tropical fruit....cuz its made from tropical fruit..hah....THe spot remover is about $7-$8, and the ZYMOL is about $20.... You have BSP, if you want the full-on ZAINO BRO-s kit....$50+...thats the best kit...you-re bsp tc will be like a BSP MIRROR!!! Or save yourself the time, its about 129.95 for a good 9mm, but you-ll have to wait 3 days to be approved

if you had experience from countless months of detailing, why did you wash your car in the sun?

Thanks, TRD. I actually bought myself some Meguiar-s tech wax recently, so I don-t know if I want a full new detailing set. I-ll look into some of the Zymol tools in the meantime.What-s this -absorber- you-re talking about? I use the chamois and, if clean, a microfiber cloth. Yesterday, however, it wasn-t clean, which kind of left me with the chamy and nothing else. And yes, I was referring to the leather chamois; that-s what I use. But without something to pick up the slack, it-s really not that great.310, I-ve washed my car in the sun plenty of times, and it-s mostly because there-s rarely a time I can wash it without the sun hitting my driveway. About the only shade in our entire circle is underneat a gigantic pine tree two houses away. During dusk, the sun sets right behind it, and the only dap of light shines through a hole in the branches that allows a few rays to hit about a third of the car. I really don-t have many options, to be brief.

yeah, just cuz a chamis are cheaper versoin of chamois...they-re like, imitation leather..when u squeeze em, its usually just water, when u squeeze a chamois...that leathery liquid comes out too...the absorber is like a microfiber, but it absorbs so much better than that...its like a inbetwen a cheap chamis and a chamois....about 8$ for 3.5sq ft.

Invest in a Mr Clean autodry system, if for nothing other than the water filter. If your having hard water deposits in your water, the filter will take care of that.

My parents already bought that. I used it once, and it left some crazy hard deposits on the windows. I don-t know why. As for the soap... well, let-s just say that, the next time I use it, it will be for nothing other than the filtered water.

use 2 large bath towels one to remove the bulk of the water and the other to finish drying make sure the towels are clean fresh from the dryer with no fabric softer
