I just finished installing the Creative Compacts Short Throw Shifter and I couldnt be happier! The throw is very short and the height is just right! Great Job James!!! The install took me about an hour but that was because I took my time and had to keep running in to the store front to check the install instructions. Very straight forward and fitment was perfect! I am not sure what the purple spacers are for but I didnt use them and I am very happy with it without them.

Just follow the TWM install in the DIY section. They show the hard parts and the instructions were perfect!

Thanks C, I just got a Dremel from Lowes to take that plastic washer off, so I-ll attempt the install tomorrow.

well i installed the shifter yesturday and it definetly shortens the throws.....But I was so frustrated with the install b/c it took me an hour and a half to take off the stupid plastic cupler off the shift assembly. There is absolutley no leverage when trying to pry this thing up. (pic from scionlife.com)The top of my assembly looks like it went thru WW3 now

Repo1981 I know what you mean that stupid plastic cap would not come off for me either till I really got pissed off at it. Then when putting it back on I noticed a crack in the plastic. Oh well no one see it. Took me about the same amount of time out in 90+ degree and sunny as can be.

my stock knob was getting loose, so i screwed it in real tight winding up the boot and all. i held the boot while tightening and broke the circular ring that goes around the shifter. i put it in gear to see if it affected shifting/driving, but thankfully it didnt. is this a big problem?
