Well iam looking for a new exhaust for my tc, and just wondering which one puts out the most hp gain..... there arent a lot of selections at the time being considering the tc is a new car and all, but i know that greddy, injen, hks, trd, and dc make exhaust....i see different websites with different dyno testings for each exhaust and dont know which one to believe.. im not a car genius, so advice would be nice. thanks

I would say one that is a complete exhaust manifold/header back system. Most of the -brand name- exhausts for the tC are just axle back exhausts. This includes: GReddy, HKS, DC sports, TRD and others. This means to you would need a mid pipe to have a cat back and then and s-pipe as well to get a header back exhaust. There are a couple kits out there like the one from Creative Compacts. It should give you the most hp from exhaust. But comparing a cat back or axle back or header back exhaust is like comparing apple to oranges. If you buy an axleback most are going to give comparable gains same for catback or headerback. If you buy an axleback you can always buy an s pipe and get a mid pipe made. Hope this helps. This is by no means gospel, I actually havent been under the tC so this is all what I have heard as far as the s pipe and mid pipe and so on. Can anyone else confirm this?

well say you buy one of the name brand axle back systems, cant you just buy a mid pipe seperately to convert it to a catback

Aside from that, I think the placement/angle looks rather hideous. I could never put something like that on my car!Edit: just like to say, i think its great that someone is making a decently quiet exhaust, just dont like the way that looks =P

So to go full cat-back we only got ZPI and CreativeCompacts to chose from...?? For a second, I almost thought GReddy Evo2 wuz full cat-back.But now, wut-s header-back?? All this stuff is confusing me. Is header before or after cat?? Does header-back mean goin cat-less??While I-m at it... are AlphaWerks and Megan the same -type- of headers?? Seems like AlphaWerks are regarded higher, does this mean it has more power and less legal...??I dunno... too confusing... can someone explain all this...??

Are you serious!?!?! It looks like the Buschur exhaust systems for DSM-s. I think it looks sexy!!!!. Although it would look better with the back of the muffler pulled to the right. Nothing some stiffer hangers cant fix, of an exhaust shop at that.Id like a bulk buy and some dynos for this!!!!!!

Magnaflow is coming out with a full cat-back system. Here-s the link http://www.magnaflow.com/...one=Sport&id=1002 . I-ve always loved magnaflow....and i-ve never really been the sport compact enthusiat...so the big 5- muffler sticking out the back never has appealed to me. I love how the muffler is up under the car and a nice shiny exhaust tip is all you see......and as for sound I haven-t heard it yet, but i-m sure from use of their other products that it will be a nice deep sound and not the pissed off rasping bumble bee. I just emailed them to see if they have a release date for that cat back system.

I like the way it looks, too, which is why I-m probably going to buy the Borla come October. They-ve both got that nice touch with the hidden muffler and polished, rounded tip. Not to mention that neither sounds or will sound like shit.

magnaflow usually sounds pretty good too. No resonator though? I wonder. Do the other cat-backs come with a resonator?
