TRD Swaybar Installed!

Well I was lucky enough to -procure- some spare hardware to mount my TRD Swaybar. It was a royal pain. First, the nuts on the end of the stock bar were hard to get off...until I realized there was a little socket on the end of the bolt to put an allen head (I believe) in and hold the bolt while I undid the nuts.Getting the rest of the bar-s hardware off was easy, just tight corners.Getting the bar OUT from underneath my frame was a pain. It barely cleared the TRD exhaust but I eventually wiggled it through all of the undercarriage.Getting the TRD swaybar in was even more difficult for two reasons:1) The bar is significantly heavier (about 15lbs) than stock. So holding it above me for about 20 minutes trying to maneuver it between undercarriage hardware was difficult2) The actual maneuvering it into position was very difficult but I eventually got it. : DGetting it bolted into place was easy, and the rest was a snap at this point.I took her for a test drive at the -race- setting (64% stiffness if I-m correct) and my tC corners like a dream. Once I get the front strut tie bar on it will be better, no doubt.Here-s my question to you all:Is there any harm in leaving it on the -race- setting (64%) if the car is my daily driver? I really like the way it handles, I just want to make sure I-m not putting any unnecessary stress on the frame.I-m sitting down to Sapporo Reserve malt beer right now, cooling down as I have a long day ahead of me painting calipers. I will take photos when I-m done, naturally.

I don-t see why it would be an issue at all; I also have the rear TRD sway bar at race setting and the front tower strut bar by Hotchkis; the handling is pretty decent, much better than stock. There are far stiffer rear sway bars out there for this car than TRD on race setting so I seriously doubt any possible issues.I-ve got a set of TRD springs coming in soon and I-m pondering TRD struts to go with them. I wonder--does anyone have a better suggestion for struts to match the TRD springs than the TRD ones?-Ed

i know crap about suspension, but im guessing that TRD meant the springs to work well with the struts. i doubt there could be better, plus other than the TRD struts, there really arent any other brands out. i think koni is coming out with some, and so far tokico has said no to the tc.

The Koni one is out, but installation involves cutting; I don-t really like the idea of that...-Ed
