sup...just got finished installing my avic d3. i want to thank esteban for the help, and paul for a quick shipment.

only thing im missing now is the bracket kit. there is a space between the d3 and the car, i need the kit so i wont see that ugly part. anyone know where to get one? i just went to circuit city they said they didnt have it in stock.

also, on my d3, the bass is CRAZY. im trying to find out how to lower the bass, i turned my subs off (via the d3), tried to lower the LOW, but i still get crazy bass. sometimes i just want treble only, not so much bass. anyone know how to fix this?

make sure your sub wires are in the right inputs...the jackass that did mine put them in the wrong spot and I couldnt control my sub at all. I dont have a d3 but that could be the problem

it's a red wire that comes with the player.. You're supposed to run it to the speed sensor wire that goes to your ECU. From what I understand it helps the navi to be more accurate. That and it utilizes the info from the ECU for some of the D3s other functions like the speedometer and the G-meter.. I haven't hooked mine up since I don't know which wire the speed sensor is..

I mounted the GPS reciever behind the right side a pillar. It is magnetic so it sticks perfect and cant be seen. Ran the wiring behind the glove box and to the unit.

The reverse wire is attached to the white plug PINK WIRE behind the glovebox. Just used a crimp tap to attach to the wire.

The speed sensor wire is on the HVAC unit, orange wire pin 14. I didnt have any more crimps, so I peeled back the insulation and soldered and then taped it.

Here you can see the finished product:
