 I have an 08 tc rs4.0 with the premium sound.. and no matter what the highs just suck... so what recommendations do you guys have for me?
i was considering upgrading my whole stereo system (speakers and all) what would you go with?

id prefer, although i know its not the greatest idea.. to go with one company to do my whole sound system.. originally i was thinkin of going rockford fosgate.. any objections/ideas?

 Try to put the stock head unit on "XA" mode and see what happens.

 really you think thats all they need is an amp?
i already tried putting it on xA and xD
im not a big stereo person.
But with my understanding the Headunit is 160Watt system.. i would tihnk that would be enough power for the 6speakers.. and if not.. then why does the sub get so much power?

sorry.. im trying to learn here.. im just a bit of a noob.

 correct adjust the HU to "xA" then go to the subwoofer and adjust the power knob i did that and mine sounds ok. its not going to sound as good as a $2,000 system but its all i need for now

 ^^I agree. Turn your bass down a little and crank up the treble and put your bass on like -3.

 i have the stereo upgrade sound system that includes the amp and subwoofer for the most part i keep min on "tC" coz it doesnt hit too hard where yr internals rattle. "xB" is annoyingly thumpy so i never use it. now with "xA" the system already is preset for higher treble so if u have the subwoofer package pop yr rear hatch and look at the sub woofer and remove the plate that covers the speaker(u need to pull kinda hard)
there is a small knob with a white dot. just turn that till u find the right tone u want

 go buy urself some EV speakers and have someone make a custom mount for it then get your self some nices subs and your set. u will have one of the best setups.

 hey man did our tc come with an amp for the dor speakers??it would b below the clock and in front of the shifter..if your car does hav it chancs are that its laying full range music at a really low level..so all you do is switch it t high pass mode and raise the power..the music would b a lt louder and clear...thats if you have the amp...my o8 came with it so maybe yours has it too.

 where is this amp? do i actually need to take apart the center console to find it? if its supposed to be in that little cubby hole... then no, mine did not come with an amp.ill just probably r -do the entire sound system.
