Hey guys, I am getting ready to start fiber glassing in the sub boxes in my gf's trunk and I really want to carpet the box but i have not been able to find any "how-to's" as to how to stretch the carpet over the curves with out bubbles and ripples. If anyone could give me any help or tips that would be great! The box is not going to be extremely wavy but it will not be flat either. Thanks |

ur gonna need some automotive carpet. make sure its not too thick otherwise its a pain in the ass to strech. and make sure it doesnt have a backing to it. u just want carpet. so once u get ur carpet lay it down on the ground and spray it real good with some spray glue. then set the box on it and start stretching the sides. if u pull hard enough ull get all the wrinkles out then u do the other side. once uve got the whole thing covered cut the carpet about 3 inch under where u dont need it anymore and glue that down. DO NOT STAPLE OR NAIL THE CARPET DOWN the right glue will hold it enough pm me if this doesnt make sense |
