I installed my rear springs last night, called a few shops this morning to try and find a shop to do the fronts for me. I don't have time at all this next few days. I talked to some guy from pep boys and he told me i need to get a camber kit for my tires. I'm a little familiar with Camber, but i'm not too sure on how do use a kit.

Don't EVER take your car to Pepboys for ANYTHING!

With Progress springs, you DON'T need a camber kit. Camber kits allow you to adjust the camber angle (the leaning in/out of the tire) to accomodate for better cornering and adjust for tire wear. Our rear section has a +/- 1 degree adjustable camber stock and 0 in front. You won't need any of them until you go beyond 2" for a drop. All specs are still within OEM regulations so just put the fronts on yourself (the easiest compared to the back) when you get a chance, let them settle for about 3-4 weeks, then get it aligned....NOT PEPBOYS!

Never with my car (b/c no one touches my car other than me) but WAY too many customers come in complaining about their quality of work. Plus, I don't trust a 16-18 year old that most likely didn't graduate high school or at best, has his GED, working on my car. If they are fully certified and have ASE paperwork to show for it, I would still say no b/c of their experience level. Just b/c you have a paper STATING you passed the ASE test, doesn't mean that you can work on cars....just that you can pass a test.

Ah I see, yea and the funny thing was he quoted me almost 300 big ones just for my front two springs lol. I think I will do it myself. My buddies said they could come over tonight so i'll check it out. It seemed like that whole talk about camber with the pep boys employee was just him trying to get me to spend more from them. He kept trying and I was just not having any of it lol.

Our cars do not need the aftermarket part to be adjusted (most newer cars don't actually). With the fronts, you'll find it takes you less than 1/2 the time it took for the rear (or even less than that). The fronts are much easier to take off and put back on so do it with your friends b/c 300$ is asking for the glove but no lubrication.

Ok cool, thanks again lol. Good to know I won't have to do any extra adjustments to camber once i'm done. I'll install the rest tonight and get it aligned soon. BTW, I'll post some pics when I'm done.
