I-m curious on how much your dealer is charging for TRD lowering springs + installation. My friend works at Longo Toyota in So. Cal and i believe it-s around 200 for the springs like maybe another 200 for the installation but of course he can do it for me there. Today i called Puente Hills today, also located in So. Cal. They gave me a quote for $209 TRD LOWERING SPRINGS + $500 INSTALLATION!!! $500 INSTALLATION?!?!? man.. that could buy me freakn rims at my hookups O_o. anyways .. how in the hell can installation be $500 ????? O btw, our PUENTE HILLS Toyota is one of the crappiest place to buy a car so i-m guessing that-s why.

The install is more involved than any other spring I have done and not the acutal spring itself but the prep work of taking all the rear panels out, all the flooring just to get to the strut tops. 500 is still too much but that is why this car is more expensive than other. You dont have to have them install it to keep your warrantee, the law states anyone can install it as long as it was done properly and the burden of proof is on them to do a write up on how it was improperly done, and prove that caused whatever you took it to them for warrantee work.

I am getting the TRD lowering springs as well as the rear sway bar. My dealer told me that it would be $200 for each plus another $100 for installation on each. $500 is insane, it doesn-t matter how involved the process is.

i bought my trd springs for 170...120 with the scion gift card....i had mine installed and aligned by a shop i trust for 200....your car will be covered under warranty if toyota cant prove that it was the workmanship that actually caused whatever your problem is...it will also be covered if it was the actual part (springs) that was defective...correct me if i am wrongalso look for a new topic soon...i will post pics of my car before and after the trd install

I was thinking of doing my S. Tein myself when I got them but now thinking otherwise. How much do you think it would cost to have a place do them? I was thinking about doing the prep work myself (taking panels out and stuff to get to back) to maybe use that as getting a cheaper price. From what I-m reading it looks like it-s going to cost about $200, does that include the alignment? Also, does anybody know of a place I should take it to? Should I take it to a big name place or stick to a little and do you the toyota would put the S. Tein in?

On average most places will install your springs for roughly $120-150...w/o alignment...however when you deal witht he suspension like that, an alignment is neccesary...so thats why an average of $200 is seen when installed at the dealer. DOing springs yourself is a very lengthy process, and you-ll need two jacks and jack stands, lots of tools including your sockets and something called a -spring compressor-

You know thats a good question. My salesman told me that installs where included in the price of what you buy from scion but from what I-ve been reading it sounds a little different. Maybe it was just the price of the non existing super charger that included the price.

that sucks. I-m never gonna get anything installed by the dealer. they try and screw you so much with the whole warrantee thing, and victims who don-t know about it get more screwed. fortunately, i got my springs for free so i didn-t have to worry about that
