When the guy did the appraisal the car was as is. The fender walls must of been taken out in the front because of the body kit which was well over a month ago since i got the stock body back on. They must have been missing then. I never really paid attention. But beside that. I had him look over the car and he said he would give me more money if things were returned to stock. As he told me and i signed that the headunit, exhaust, hood, intake, and seats had to be replaced to stock and he would give me the full $11K trade in and to which i complied. I replaced all parts.

Now they had to fulfill there part and that was to put my radio in the new car and do a tire swap.

I had signed the contract but my co-owner didn't But i agreed to there terms and signed.

But back on track as they were taking the tires off the old one they noticed the fender walls were missing. Thats when they confronted me and said that i needed to replace them. I totally didn't agree with the situation but they were nice about it. They gave me time to look for them which i found two pieces and a couple other stock pieces to which i will return to them tommorow when they put my plates on my car but them trying to blame me like i took them off after he evaluated the car basically is the way it sounded. Well i said "I signed the paper on what you wanted to put back on the car and to which i did comply." He then came back and said, "If thats what you want to hold me to than do so." I personally didn't like the response but I didn't say anymore. I was in the right "I think" but he wanted me to pay to have them replaced but when they lookover the car they should notice this stuff. Right?? Was i being a jerk or was i in the right?

But also to add i don't have to pay for those things because in the contract it does not say i have to pay for those things because it was not caught.

I think you were absolutely right... if they didn't catch it not your problem they are trying to sell you something. Not the other way around so screw them! I wouldn't pay you did as they asked!

pretty sure you are safe.. my dealer tried to come after me for $38.46 cause they were off on how much I owed on my last car.. They sent the payoff in for what they found on my credit report and they were off.. Not my fault, they brought me the numbers I said it looked roughly right wasn't sure the exact numbers, they said no worries here's your car.. My bank for my other car said I didn't have to pay its their fault... They just try the scare tactic to make more money

Ok thanks guys/gals. At first i felt bad but now i don't give two shits about it anymore. I just know not to take my car to them for warranty work cuz i know they will screw me. So i will take my warranty work to the dealer up the road.

Assuming you are over the legal age to enter a contract in your state, on paper at least, I believe you are in right.

What you are talking about though, was it a separate contract for the trade in value? Because if it is, it doesn't matter if your co-signer signs it or not. It only matter if the vehicle owner signs that.

Yes it was a seperate contract which i signed as Owner. My dad for insurance reasons had to sign as a co-owner.
