Ok...I am normally not one to poke fun at other people's choices of what they do to their cars...but I could NOT resist on this one!
David & I were driving on the interstate home tonight and we saw this:
Look CLOSELY at the photo where I have dropped in the arrow... IT'S STICK ON VENTS!!! ARGH!!!
(And, I am really sorry about the photo quality - it was my cell phone, we were doing 70 mph and his windows are tinted...)
So, what are y'all's thoughts???

hahahaa, it's now a Buick tC!!!
I can't stand ANY cars that have them, even OEM. They look so freakin' stupid and are NOT functional for anything. Slap a 4 foot wide spoiler on that thing and a fart pipe and we'll be in rice business.

on the topic of faking and fronting, my biggest peeve is the people with automatics who put a manual transmission shift boot and shift knob in their car, seriously WTF!?!?!?!

Even worse is those automatic drivers that rev at you at a light, and then as you're driving next to them they give it gas and then let off to pretend they are shifting...or even shift through their gears. Just pathetic.

were they at least symmetrical? i see so many nice looking cars with those on and at least one is out of wack from the rest. but yea those things are a joke and need only to be on a Buick. it wuldnt be bad if they were real vents. but those plastic stick-ons are about as bad as those light up wheel caps...

What? I dont think theres anything wrong with that at all, haha. A lot of cars have it stock. And theres no rule saying that manuals have boots while autos dont.
Anyway, the non functional vents seem kinda odd, haha. Some people might like the looks, but if they dont serve a purpose, maybe its better to leave it clean looking!

yeah. quite a number of cars out there with automatics have boots on them stock.. so i can't understand your reasoning for your pet peeve..

^I'm assuming it's the autos that come with NO boot and people put boots on them. If they come with them, then there really isn't much to compare against....but if that model doesn't and you put one on, then I can see where that would look odd.

aww i thought i was gonna be the first tC to have vents. i was gonna slather them over my hood aimlessly to dissipate all the heat generated from all this stock horse power.
i blame autozone for all the stick on vents that everyone sees.
