In my honest opinion, i hate it. I think it looks awful. Wayy too hazy and the lights are the only thing you can see cuz they're so bright compared to everything else. And you can't even tell what kind of car it is. Is that an xA? Sorry

yea.. a little too much carrying away.

usage of alot of filters just burns out the image and takes everything away.
it's a blur alright.. a very bright blur that went a bit overboard and i don't see the expression you are trying to create.

what PS version do you have, btw? i can help you out a bit with working in photoshop, but i at least wanna know what you have to start out with as well.

i might not have certification under Adobe (it's expensive to be a certified expert with paperwork and stuff).. but i've trained under ACI's and have done abit of PS work. lemme know.

I'll have to agree with her. Everyone who posts picture attempts on here should know that there will be good AND bad reviews/comments. If you don't want HONEST responses, then you shouldn't post.

The grainy effect on the picture just kills it b/c it creates too much of a distinct cutoff point. If the grains weren't there and there was a softer outline, and maybe a bit less glare, i think the picture would be pretty decent for a 2nd attempt.

Gotta take the good with the bad. Just keep trying different things and you'll get it. Ask around for tips (Orin is a PS user so touch base with him for tips/hints/ideas). Bearz also...

Complaining is futile when you supported the victory.

ehh, think of it as tough love.

we're all family here. we have our little disagreements sometimes, and even little stupid fights... but as long as we sincerely respect each other.. then hey, nothing to worry about.

there are extensive amounts of tutorials throughout the entire internet at your fingertips.. al you gotta do is find and use them.

you'll be using photoshop like a pro in no time... but putting in the effort is needed. here's a good resource to start:
http://movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modListing.asp

since i dunno your version, just scroll down and choose. there's quite a few free vids you can check out.

Good deal Trung, I would recommend getting library aids for anyone. I am still looking at tutorials to learn new tricks.

yeah.. lynda is pretty much a standard for beginners and i think used also professionally in the industry.

then there are the millions of other tutorials made by other sites as well as consumer made vids for other tricks and tips out there.

nice.. pretty much almost all the tools at your fingertips

(minus the little extra features in the extended version.. though most of that is not really necessary except for really specific applications)

check out the site i linked to above and if you have any questions about doing something, don't hesitate to ask. there are many many ways to do the same thing in photoshop, but some are much more easier than others.

but first things first, i would say to learn how to utilize layers, and how to do good selections. if you can do those two things alone, it'll unlock alot more possibilities.

have a goal in mind when you are working on any project. if you just open a new document and say to yourself 'i wonder what this filter does' and do that 10 times, your end result will be what you posted...

yea.. and there's a difference between a project and messing around.

obviously you're gonna need to play around with certain features and tools to really understand what they do.

it'll take some time to orient yourself into utilizing the tools effectively, but don't let anything slow or let you down. just keep at it and allow yourself to be guided in the right direction either by your fellow peers and/or tutorials out there.

What exactly are you trying to do?

for simplistic stuff in bringing out color and such, you can try different brightness and contrasts.

Take this pic of my buddies car for example. I did some small things with the contrast and brightness of it. Yeah I did to much contrast, but it's for example. It went from that to this...

Then you can even add a glare. Or, a Gradient, or both!

I did my signature and I taught myself how to do it...
Keep trying man! And remember, what exactly are you trying to do?
