Well, I wanted to try this and did a bit of research on their site b/c the cans never said CAT or O2 sensor safe. I read on their site and it DID say that it was safe for both of them and a few weeks after, I went to the store and read the labels (which were new) and they had it in bold red writing. Soooo, I decided to try it. I added it into a nearly empty tank and filled up completely prior to my Ocean City, MD trip. So far, I just rounded 302 miles and I have about 1/8" left before the 1/4 mark on the needle. I will post what my mileage and fill up are after this tank b/c as it stands now, I'm sitting close to 34-35 mpg. But, I'll post up. Seems to be cleaning the system pretty good b/c the overall idle of the engine is nice and smooth. Periodically, there was always a little hicup, but nothing now. In hot idles in traffic going to OC, the engine was smooth and cool (cool due to the radiator ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

do you just pour it into your gas tank? and how much was it? Life is hard!! deal with it how ever you can! you do what you can and thats the bottom line. |

I got it for 7$. There's a few steps to go through if you want to do it "right" but I just poured it into the gas tank. I may get another bottle and use it in the intake manifold to clean the upper cylinder heads and intake valves again, but just in the gas tank is fine. It causes a lot of white smoke for about 10 minutes if you do it the "right" way but I just didn't feel like it. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

I'm gonna try the "right" way tomorrow and put some into the vacuum line leading to the intake manifold. Gonna have to get another can but will run the rest of the next can in my next tank of fuel or just add it into my Ranger. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

The "right" way to do it is 1/3 bottle in crankcase, 1/3 bottle in intake manifold via the pcv system, and 1/3 bottle in gas tank. I've read on a bunch of forums that after adding it to the oil, you should change the oil b/c it acts as a sludge remover so it thins the oil out. I'm not going to add it to the oil b/c I just changed it but I'm going to try the intake manifold feed tomorrow. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

Woke up this morning and got another can to use for the intake manifold and the rest in the second tank of fuel. After the intake manifold cleaning and cylinder "de-carbonization," this engine idles ridiculously smooth. I always had, even stock, just a slight feel in the engine that transferred into the cabin and up the steering column. Now, it's dead smooth...which is a bit weird b/c I'm used to the slight vibration. DIY is being made right now ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

All the ford guys on a mustang forum swear by this stuff. Web's right, when you clean the upper intake and cylinders it will cause white smoke until it all burns off, but it supposdedly works wonders. How many miles do you have on your car, web? |

I'll be considering performing the full cleaning now that I'm at 80,000 miles. I'll wait til 86,000 when I get my oil change. Good stuff |

Great review man, but here's a little more to add. Just an FYI, be careful when using this product because sometimes the purpose of this product might harm your car more than it can help. Example: The sludge in your engine may have patched cracks and/or holes in your engine (keeping the engine together), and using this product takes away that sludge, opening those cracks and exposing the true damages to the vehicle. Basically, if you know you've kept with your maintenance and didn't use cheap gas/oil, then this should work fine for you. |

Well, yes but that's if you do the oil crank case addition. The carbon in the combustion chamber and upper head valves is not good no matter how old/new the vehicle is. The sludge you are talking about is in the engine oil itself and may only be an issue on neglected motors that have never had an oil flush performed. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-Seafoam-your-engine.html DIY posted ^ ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

Yeah, I love this stuff. I add it every time I get my oil changed. |

I used this stuff on a previous car (not to be named) and it works great! Its really only worth it to use every once and a while but when you do use it, you really notice the difference. Its sweet to use for your manifold because it makes your care smoke soo much since it cleans all the carbon out of it and you have to drive with it like that for a while. Just make sure you don't smoke out the person behind you ;) |

I have never used seafoam but apply the same process to my car. I use Gunk Engine Flush to clean the crankcase, synthetic fuel cleaner for the gas tank / lines / injectors, and throttle body / intake cleaner for the manifold. This is a complete fuel system cleaner. Works great! Remember a clean engine is a happy engine! Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. -Ben Franklin |

Save the other for later....just use the one for now. It's recommended online especially for forced induction due to blow by caused from the valve cover into the intake manifold. Helps those intake valves free up. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |

5 tanks of fuel gone (~1800 miles) with no issues. Still keeping an eye on things until next oil change....that's in about 3K miles. After that, if something were to happen, it would have already happened. Mainly highway driving for me all the time as well. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |
