I need some help. I was told that due to the year of my car, it has a different Mass Air Flow sensor then previous models. If I were to put an intake on my car the sensor would malfunction and my check engine light would come on. Which could hinder my cars performance. If you are reading this, I guess let me know if this is true or not, and then what you had to do to fix the problem. If anyone has any further input to my situation please post to this thread. Thanks |

Who told you this? You shouldnt have any problems with an intake unless you break the MAF during installation. From what I understand you have to be careful with it and take your time, but you shouldnt have any issues. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! yeah if you are looking for an intake make sure you get an '07+ model. also, the S/C is different from '05-'06 to '07-'09, and the earlier model is a LOT cheaper http://www.myspace.com/koontzie |

All you need to do is buy a 07+ intake. |

I have a 07 tC and I got an intake with no problem. As long as you get an intake made for that year, it will work with the MAF. |

dude are u serious? do some research. anyways the only 07 CAI or SRI for the 07 and upp tc's are Fujita TRD Injen and AEM. and like mentioned above the sensor size is different from the 05-06 tc's. |

Ummm, Asain, I HAVE done my research, thats why I said be careful with the MAF. I have asked the same question before and gotten an answer from people much smarter than I. http://clubsciontc.com/in...d=19509&page=1#253867 Also, since when did I ever suggest buying a part for the wrong year model? I never said buy an 06 or 05 intake, in fact, I didnt even mention the year model, I just said watch out for the MAF. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! There's more than just those. I have an 07 and I have a K&N intake. I'm sure there are even more too. And of course, there's always the good ol' no-name eBay tubes and cones haha. |

The MAF sensor for 07+ models is narrower and has a slightly reduced distance between the support bolts. That's the ONLY difference in the intakes between the model years. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |
