Stu_Gotti Maryland, US Tech Advisor	Although this event is still in the planning process, I wanted to see who would be interested in attending a swap meet & BBQ/Chili cookout, sometime around end of September or early October? This is a great oppurtunity to get rid of Scion stuff you have laying around, maybe aftermarket parts, etc... get rid of or pick up stuff to continue modding your Scion during the off season. The basic idea is that everyone would come together to buy, sell or trade unused Scion parts and accessories that they have in their possession, to continue their modding during the off-season. We thought since the time of the year was around early-mid fall, we could throw a chili cook-off in the mix. Everyone bring their best recipe, judge and taste, then hand out a golden spoon to the winner. I have a Scion owner that has rules and judging sheets for that type of event, if we decide to go that route, otherwise everyone could just enjoy some good food! I wanted to touch base and see if there was any potential interest from the Corp side for helping with an event like this? This is not going to be an actual car show; however, we thought it would be neat to make it a hands-on type of event. With that in mind, I thought that perhaps we could discuss further the idea John had about a Detail Workshop. It would be a great time of the year to do it, and I think with the already overwhelming interest, it would work to everyone’s liking. Please give me some type of feedback, I’m going to work with this idea and see how it all comes together. FrAnkRYzzO Maryland, US $upervillain for Hire	I like the idea. I've never made chili but I'm willing to try unless I can talk one of my friends into going who does chili contests whenever he can. One important thing to remember is where there's chili there must be beer, so keep that in mind when selecting a location. I think the swap meet sounds like a great idea because I'm kind of a parts whore and never really sell anything cuz I hate shipping. ............... Search or one of these adorable kittens WILL DIE!

I know sometimes getting email traffic is hard for them... and I know Mike Wirth is down to help when it's something that'll bring the community together. I will be suggesting that we do this Swap Meet at this event, make it a combined event.. also try and incorporate the chili and Oktoberfest idea as well...
