Pure price keeps dealers from changing the prices of all Scion cars. As Larfboy said, try to find a dealer known to include a lot of free stuff. People have claimed they-ve received free things from Scion clothing all the way to free tires for life! By the way, your username makes it seem like you have an S2K. Do you?

Beware of the fine print with -free stuff-. Clothing...I can see that being free, but I know for the fact the tires for life is a scam. Yeah...you can get tires for life for the tC, BUT you have to get ALL SCHEDULED MATIENANCE at toyota....that means double the price of anywhere else to get it done. And if you are scheduled to rotate tires every 5,000 miles....better not come in at 5,001, or no more free tires. There-s always fine print and there-s nothing for free. Just watch out for the financing department....as that-s the area they try to make up on lost money during the actual deal. I hate most dealerships and have a few family members quit sales jobs at dealers because they couldn-t handle the deception they must pull on customers. Just take everything a salesman says to you with a grain of salt and be prepaired to walk out to get their attention.....a salesman is not gonna let you walk away when the deal is just about done and the finance department is pissing you off....they will fix it.

You wont find dealers knocking money off the car its very suitable at 16K.Otherwise buy a used one.

i just put in my order for a TC (5spd, white) at Longo Toyota. Longo and the 5 other scion dealers i called in the area were sticking firm to the $16515 price. I asked each dealer why I should choose this dealership if the pricing is all the same. They all replied that other dealers will order cars with options and force you to buy them with the car, but this dealer would order it to you exact specs (they all said that hahaha). None mentioned anything about free goodies.Unfortunately every dealer gave me a 4-6 week wait for a TC. Some had that red special edition in stock, but that was it.Riverside Inifiniti is selling a used 2005 TC (4,700 miles, white, 5 speed, factory kit, and some generic 17-s) for $18,995. That was their internet special price on autotrader.com. Its marked for $19,5XX. I talked them down to $18,100, but I-d rather spend less and get a new car.Btw, my TC will be a daily driver too. My SR20 powered 240sx is not comfortable enough for driving daily.
