if u are talking about taking off the second canister after the MAFS dont do it. your car wont start up and then it wont hold its idle if it starts. u would idle at like 200 rpm and dies rite away Life is hard!! deal with it how ever you can! you do what you can and thats the bottom line. |

I've heard of removing a silencer in a stock intake to make it sound a little better. I couldn't find any good DIYs on it, but it probably is not worth it. If you are just looking for a cheap solution to make your car sound louder you can buy cheap tubing on ebay and a cheap cone at WalMart and make your own short ram intake. The only problem is getting the MAS to work with it. Better off saving a few bucks and getting an intake from companies like K&N and Ingen. |

the one that goes into the bumper after the box can be removed. just look to where it goes its 1 huge plastic screw. sure its louder but you have a huge empty hole going into ur air box. if u want volume, get an ebay short ram ![]() 2006 BSP tC |

Not sure where you got this information but a few users on this site have the silencer removed with absolutely no issues. It does not effect MAF sensor readings (since it's after the sensor anyways) and only closes off a dead air section in the intake. It's safe to remove the silencer. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. |
