Torque damper prevents motor from shifting in engine bay upon acceleration/deceleration loads and shifting. I have had mine for 75K and love it. It helps against wheel hop keeping the engine centered and not pivoting with motion from the car. PM Carcandy for one

A hood damper is just like the shocks in the hatch for our car. It's just a self-lifting strut to lift the hood.

For show it's nice but that's it. No other point to it.

A torque damper is in my opinion a great investment. First of all a torque damper allows for better and smoother acceleration. Secondly, it keeps the wheels planted to the ground under heavy acceleration/breaking, or heavy loads. Thirdly, it takes away from the everyday wear and tear on engine mounts and exhaust flexing, which over time will wear out. Plus you can gain a second or two off the line and if you are a drag racer. I would recommend getting an Ingalls (Stiffy) Engine Torque Damper. I will say this much also, I bought one for my tC, but have not had it installed yet. Also it is not as easy as it looks to install. If you don't know what your doing, or how to set the damper, do not attempt the install yourself, seek a professional to have it installed. Good Luck Bro!

If you only have 1 arm, than yes it's worth the money.
