if you re-do ur tint u can still get pulled over for them. I have a friend who got 3 tickets for her limo tint, she paid them off twice and kept the tint but the 3rd time she got rid of the fronts. I have 30 on my car and *knock on wood* no problems yet with the cops. and ya cops here in california are hard asses on everything and it gets really annoying! But o well 14 more days and I will be a Louisiana resident... |

people say 35% is pretty safe. but as much as i want to get 35...i don't have the time or money to redo tints. so i'll probably get a lighter tint than 35%, but that's just me -_- |

Wow sorry about that, if you had 20% in Florida you would not have an issue, its what i have and its the pretty much recommended legal tint shade here Here's a link to TINT LAWS http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Consumer_Info/auto_statelaws.html ![]() '08 // Flint Mica // tC |

I believe u can pay a fine to leave them on. But I also heard you cant do that anymore. I also dont recommend going with even darker tint. The 4 LED_Headz: Ed (etli), Trung (SquallLHeart), Alan (O5_TRD_tC), and Paul (Dakine) |

I recently got a fix it ticket for my 20% tint on the front windows. I receive the letter with ticket # about 3 weeks ago. I'm taking my tints off and going to a sheriff & CHP Inspection Station click on the link, it'll give you the locations, they inspect it and sign off your ticket there. Then you have to go to traffic court and present the proof. Anyways, after I get it checked off I'm putting it back on, but at 35%. It's wayyyy too dark right now. Good luck. |

thanks for the links. im probably gonna tint them again obviously lighter than what i have now, just cuz i believe cars with no tint look bad, and those with dark tint on the back and none on the front look even worse.. damn! |

I've had 3 tint tickets as well. First ticket, it was tint alone. I just decided to pay off the ticket and leave the tint on. Got pulled again for the tints about 3 months after, this time tints and back plate was covered. I paid it off again, kept the tints on. 3rd time I got ticketed, it was for tints and no front plate. I still was able to do the fix it and only pay $10. That's exactly what I did. So now I have a front plate, no tints on front windows, and my back license plate is not covered. But that was before. Now, a lot of people are saying it's their 1st time getting a tint ticket here in CA, and they aren't letting people do the fix-it option. This started as early as June '08. I would say call the number in the back of the ticket, the automated teller will say if you have the option of fixing the ticket or if it's simply a fine. |
