 I bought this shift knob in the winter it was my first mod so to say i have it on a stock shifter (5-speed) and if you have noticed that your stock shifter is kind of choppy and rough when your changing gears this shift knob will help. Since i have installed it shifting has become easier and smoother. This shifter will work great also if you have a shorth throw kit installed. I went to the dealership (that was a mistake i paid $70 for it and if you look i know you can find it chaper) I got the 340g silver version all the metal is polished and the leather is grey. I have also seen red blue and black leather versions. It is very easy to install all you have to do is pull it out of the box pick the right plastic insert there are 2 of them black is for automatics and clear/white is for stick and you insert the plastic peice inside the shifter and seure it with the supplied screw and then just screw it on to the shifting rod while pushing down (to thread the plastic insert). It is easy to install and looks great in our cars. I am very happy with this shifter (just not the price i paid for it)
