Hello, I have been reading alot on here and have a question. Ok so i want an exhaust but the prob is i dont want to spend the 200 plus. why cause i go back to iraq in 10-11 months and going to supercharge my 09 TC while im over there. I know im going to throw on a 3in exhaust system when this is done. im going supercharge due to the whole warr thing once its up rebuilt/turbo it lol. i would like to known if i can buy a muffler like flowmaster or borla and just add it to my factory pipes by just takeing out the stock muffler. some of my friend who are mechanics said they can weld it on for free. im just going for some sound right now. so would this be a good thing to do or jsut hold out and wait for the super and 3in. thanks for the help

Your best bet is to go with an axleback right now then and do the 3" piping later. You will get the sound, but not the full performance value from it. A good catback system will run you 500+ dollars.

There are quite a few threads posted on exhaust around the site, including some videos of their sound. Youtube also has quite a few videos posted on this as well. The search feature on the site should produce quite a few results though. I chose the Magnaflow cat-back, but others will swear by Tanabe and Injen and such, its a personal preference thing.

Try to just find a used axleback on here or on Scionlife.com ... Just get a used one till you are ready to spend the cash.

Personally I would save the money back and put some springs or something on the ride, and just wait until you are getting the turbo to put the 3" on.
