though a good deal for the set, most people don't really need a front sway bar.. and having a nice rear one is very adequate for even "highly spirited" driving. LED questions? in my opinion, i think its not worth getting the front sway if your not planning to do autoxing with your car. rear sway should be enough. |

Yes they are different. Sway bar is under the car and strut brace is on the top of the motor. It's best, on a street car, to leave a stock front sway bar b/c you want the car to slightly lean into turns. Leaving it too stiff will cause understeer and you will lose control. Granted, it's nice when you're racing on turns, but during normal driving it's overkill and can cause some unwanted driving effects. I would say rear sway bar only but that's just me. ![]() Ignorance is bliss....305 fo life!...haha...Poser |

Thats a good deal, a lot of folks will say installing the front sway is a pain and an overkill, but when you drive a tC that has the full suspension set up, you'll really appreciate the stable driving feel. go for it |

Do sway bars usually have wear and tear? Someone offered me a used rear sway bar for $50. it's been on the car for about 2 years |

The bars...no. The bushings, if rubber, then yes. You may want to get new bracket bushings with it, but that's all you would need. ![]() Ignorance is bliss....305 fo life!...haha...Poser |

The wear and tear on a sway set is on the bushings, those should be replaced with poly bushings instead of rubber. The bar itself is like a spring, it will not wear out. edit Web beat me to it.. lol |

^^Energy Suspension. Talk to And I agree with Orin about the feel with full suspension. I have the full hotchkis sway set, and I love it. The car feels like its riding on rails when you do hard cornering. I ordered this set before my tC was even delivered to the lot. And that is a great price for the front and rear. ............... ![]() ![]() ![]() Donate or one of these adorable kittens WILL DIE! |

I think so, but not sure which of the sway bar bushings you would need. (ie: the large or small bracket) ............... ![]() ![]() ![]() Donate or one of these adorable kittens WILL DIE! |

He seems to do that a lot. And CarCandy is trying to source some polys for the Hotchkis setup. If he manages to get some together, I'll definately buy a set. ![]() |

but is it the sway bushings or the end link bushings?? |

We don't have endlink "bushings" but rather simply endlinks. The endlinks have small pivot joints/ball joints. The center support brackets are the poly bushing replacement points. ![]() Ignorance is bliss....305 fo life!...haha...Poser |
