You have an '07. Are your new wheels TPMS compatable? Has the TPMS been moved over to the new wheels? ![]() Scikotics NJ is sponsored by Lawrence Scion 2006 GReddy Turbocharged Automatic tC 220+ WHP - 14.044 @ 97.02 MPH |

guessin ur an 07+...theres a tire pressure monitering system in the newer ones, u have to take them off your stock tires and put them on ur new tires, or else the light will stay on i dont think theres a fix for that yet, some1 correct me if im wrong |

Yup, if the TPM sensors have not been swapped (as they should have), then you will not be able to make that light go out and your tire monitoring system will not function. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

My mechanic swapped the TPMS for me into my new rims. Hopefully, whoever mounted your rims and tires was smart enough to do that. ![]() -Thanks for the sig Aciidsneaker |

I had that same problem what you gotta do is press and hold the tire pressure button in the glove box for like 15-20 seconds. First the light will go off, keep holding it and it will flash 4 or 5 times and once it stops flashing let go and you should be good. If that doesnt do it idk what to tell you. |

It works for you because you've got an '05. '05-06 had simple rotational-speed based TPMS. The '07's have a true TPMS so that won't work. ![]() Scikotics NJ is sponsored by Lawrence Scion 2006 GReddy Turbocharged Automatic tC 220+ WHP - 14.044 @ 97.02 MPH |

Doesn't work that way for 07+. They have in-tire TPM sensors that must be switched to the new wheels and then reset. If they are not there, it can't be reset. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

I have the same problem w/ my aftermarket rims too. The only thing I know that fixes that, is either proper air pressure, or having the rims rebalanced. The computer is set up to run the OEM rims which on most tC's is 17's, or 18's if you have an RS1 3.0. I haven't had my rims rebalanced yet, but I know mine came off of an 01 Stratus. I will let you all know if I get the issue corrected. |

RS1 3.0? You mean RS 3.0.... The RS 3.0 doesn't have special wheels. ![]() Scikotics NJ is sponsored by Lawrence Scion 2006 GReddy Turbocharged Automatic tC 220+ WHP - 14.044 @ 97.02 MPH |

step 1check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure step 2turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (in the glove box) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch. step 3now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times. step 4initialization is *not* completed until driving at the vehicle speed of 19 mph or over for more than one hour. the tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed. ^Before any of that, he has to make sure they even put the sensors in the new rims or none of that will matter. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

No, won't hurt anything...just won't have the monitoring system functioning. They are built into the valve stem itself. They probably just put a generic stem in place of it if they didn't take it out. ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. No, 05-06 have rotational sensors built into the axle. We are fine ![]() I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E. |

Not a true TPMS in the valve stems. The '05-06 tC has a rotational speed based TPMS. So if 1 tire gets low on air, it's gonna start spinning faster and then it'll set off the TPMS. ![]() Scikotics NJ is sponsored by Lawrence Scion 2006 GReddy Turbocharged Automatic tC 220+ WHP - 14.044 @ 97.02 MPH |

Here's what you can do. I know this worked for the people i suggested it to. Just get one TMPS sensor and put it in a sealed tube and pump that tube to 32psi and reset your TMPS. Then just keep that tube in the car and you'll be golden. Just remember you check your tires every so often to make sure they have enough pressure. ![]() ![]() ![]() Are you in SoCal? Heh that's a good idea... but it kinda defeats the purpose. Oh well. If your rims aren't TPMS compatable, I'd do that. If they are compatable though, get those put on. ![]() Scikotics NJ is sponsored by Lawrence Scion 2006 GReddy Turbocharged Automatic tC 220+ WHP - 14.044 @ 97.02 MPH |
