Well i was wondering about soon getting a front strut bar just to stiffen the front up a little bit and add to my rear sway bars increased handling but herad they are only for if you wreck keeping your front end front smashing as much, is this true or do they help handling?? Also when i brake at a stop light decently hard when the car stops and gets the coming back motion from the stop it make some kinda creaking noise and i was wondering what this is?? thanks

No, strut braces help stiffen the chassis...they are not designed to help in crashes. Although they may inadvertently do so, they are not designed for that.

The squeal is probably just the bushings on the sway bar in the rear or most likely just the sound of the brakes "relaxing" after the stop. The rotors will slip back just a bit causing a slight squeal.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. A.E.

Strut bar allows one to feel a small difference. It's only a little bit tighter around turns, but in conjunction with sway bars it will be a sweet ride.

Strut bars are only good for stiffing up your suspension and chassis. They have nothing to do w/ breaking what so ever. Although front and rear sway bars are always a good upgrade, but if you doing normal street driving, you won't really feel the difference. They are more for racing/autocrossing. I have heard that strut bars can either help or hinder you in a front impact crash. Although I have never experienced it for myself...thank god...lol. Also keep in mind tC's have break asist to help you stop better and esp on hills and hitting bumps while your applying the breaks. As far as the squeal, I have never heard it on mine. I would have the wheel bearings checked.
