Ok i am putting a sub set up in my 08 scion and i have the 6" sub that came in my car i plan to unplug the stock sub because it will sound bad i have heard right. k when i hooked up subs i my old car there was power and ground thats easy but then there was a blue wire coming out of my after market deck. but with a stock system there is no blue wire labbled so can i tap into a wire by the sub?

help me please i really need to bump some toons
please help

... Shoulda done some research first. There's no RCA outputs or wires for subs on the stock head units unless you get the '08+ Premium head units.

They do make wiring harnesses for it but it's not the same.

there is a peice you can buy so that you can hook up amps to so you dont need an aftermarket head unit, but the prob is that its almost if not more expensive than buying and aftermarket headunit, plus you need to have a prof. install that part. my suggestion would be buy an aftermarket headunit and install that. stock head unit doent sound as good with aftermarket amps and subs, not enough power.

i really like the fact that i can use my steering wheele buttins and the ipod jack i got a box that gose off the back speakers and it makes a rca hook up k thats good but can i just go to the cig lighter for the power antena wire?

yo all u need is the high/low converter in order to run rca's to the amp...u dont need a any wiring harnesses i dont believe...i have the stock headunit and a high/low (also know as a line out converter) and u just hook that up to the stock wiring harness as directed...run the power wire...and ur golden..thas how my system is setup and i love it

if i remember correctly i think i used the cig lighter from inside the center console since i never use that shit anyways
