you could do it anytime but should wait a few months for the paint to fully cure before waxing since it puts a barrier on the paint that can keep it from fully curing the way it needs to. there is a difference between dry paint and cured paint. also if it is only a few days old there should be no mineral buidup to need a clay bar for. beware of the mad sciontist ! ask me your car audio and electronics questions!! a little signature love for good sellers.... Curing for paint is like a 6 week thing. And thats ~6 weeks after its been painted at the factory. So I think from factory to you garage has been a decent amount of time for the paint to cure. I think you're alright for a wash and what not. But someone chime in if Im wrong, haha. ![]() "gonna wash my car before i take a nap.. can't rest well knowing i've got the entire cast of A Bug's Life on my bumper" - Vicious -- Want to post a "For Sale" thread? There is enough time from when the vehicle leaves the factory in Japan and is transported that you'll be able to wax to your heart's content. As a matter of fact, there is a 90 % chance someone already beat you to it when ripping the plastics off the vehicle & taken into the dealership for processing into inventory. All vehicles should get a wash and detail after being taken off the truck. |

Everytime you wax it....clay bar it. I did this and my car was always clean. I waxed it 2-3 times a month. overkill maybe but my car was always shining. -Garrett H. www.teamscionrg.com |

You can wash/wax your car the day you get it. Nowadays, cars have heat treated clear coats from factory so you don't have that paint curing time. ![]() ![]() ![]() Are you in SoCal? that is true for most cars that sit on the lot a while. i special ordered mine and piced it up off the boat. it was built the same month i got it. just check the manufacture date inside the door. beware of the mad sciontist ! ask me your car audio and electronics questions!! a little signature love for good sellers....
