Whats up club. Sorry but i went looking for a faster car. I mean i love my juiced tc but i want more consistent power. And i was lookin at a cobalt SS. Dont know if im approved yet, but if i am, I gettin it tomorrow. The sad part is that they only wanna give me 12,900 for my TC which sucks cuz its a 07 wit 16k miles on it. Nevertheless if i can get it i am and i will keep you guys posted..

i know how it is to want more power but you really should sell your tc THEN get the cobalt.. as long as its the 09 turbo charged one and not the supercharged one!

GL and jsut cause you dont have a tc doesnt mean you have to go!

im about to have a 135i... woops... hhaha

The new '08+ Cobalt SS' are turbocharged. They make a LOT of power and it's nice. It's sort of a parallel step though - Slobalts still have some reliability problems.

Actually the 09 Cobolt SS is one of the best DRIVING sport compacts in america. Its got good power from the ECOtec not to mention the full GM parts catalouge. The suspension and chassis got Ring worked so the car is a honest to god blast to drive. It is WORLDS different than the supercharged version of a year ago.

Its downside its still a rental car interior. But as for driving and whats important. Its a GREAT car.

Now for those that scoff this car off. go drive one then you may have an oppinion past "its just another GM POS derrrrr"

BTW ive been riding sportbikes for 2 years now on the worst roads in the US with the absolute worst drivers in the US and we also have the highest DUIs in the country. Knock on wood ive been safe so far but over the past 2 weeks ive had 2 cars try to kill me (An escort wagon the other week and a Suzuki SX4 today). Its a trade off you volunteer yourself for the sake of riding

oh no the escort saw me. He came from behind me, in the rain, and pushed me out of the middle lane just so he could cut infront of me to wait in traffic at the Pali Highway offramp. Nothing will scare you than a car speeding past you in your lane.

I love hawaii...

^^ I agree totally.

My friend's wife drove a Cobalt and it just fell apart after 2 years. He was a Chevy owner for a long time (He still has a Z28 Camaro). He owns an xB and his wife just traded in the Cobalt for an xB too.

ok if you want a comparison i ran a cobalt ss from a roll at 40mph. he has an intake and we sat side by side till i was about 90ish then he made a slow pull away and beat me by half to 3/4 a car. My si runs mid 14's on street tires. Taking a second off you 1/4 with no mods is a upgrade. and if he gets a pully, intake, header, exhaust and the heat exchanger he will be running in the 13's all day with no problem. Buddy of mine had one. But the turboed SS does blow the s/c ss out of the water.
